odd question and idea

so im just brain-storming here but would like yalls input
in elementary school did you ever do the whole use food coloring and water for a plant (flowers mostly) so you could see its circulation??
would it be possible to do the same thing with a low molecular weight and stable psychedelic.of course this would be wicked expensive but im still curious
i imagine what ever plant you use would have to have a strong circulatory system to avoid damage
thoughts??

it'd surely depend on alkaloid/plant couple. but I can't think of any real low mol. weight alkaloid.

I'm not saying a flower won't take up any, just don't expect it to live as long as a colored one or to take up much alkaloid.

if that was your idea, then putting them in alkaloid rich water and hoping it'd suck some up would be just a waste. for such a task you'd just place some drops on petals. anyway, this kind of discussion seems more suited to the chemistry forum.

Micawber, I want you to grow some bean sprouts in a 10% lsd water-mix. That would be AMAZING.
For science!
(Probably wouldn't work though, but a fun idea)

I mean... you could just spray some flowers with LSD... no need to have them uptake it.
But I like how you think.
