Mycelium on casing, growbox. Question for experienced people.

Hello everyone, i am a total noob at this. Dont flame me but i ordered an all in one growbox that was already colonised by mycelium.
I am currently on the 8th day and i have been misting once a day and fanning 3-5 times per day. I can now see the mycelium on the casing; the top is turning white. Like i said, i have never tried a grow before so i have no idea what i should be looking for when it comes to signs that its pinning or that its going to start pinning.
Could you experts take a look and tell me how this is doing please?

The white blobs on top are pieces of perlite or some random shit that came with my box. please tell me what you can from that picture.
Oh and i also think the whole cake has shrunk a tiny little bit since i recieved it, but maybe thats just me.

as the mycelium consumes the substrate its going to shrink, thats natural...was it completely colonized and you put the casing? or was it not fully colonized and you introduced into fruiting early?
as for the white blobs, i cant tell for sure because of that picture, but should not be perlite, i would think it was knots/pins forming..

I think the substrate was fully colonized and then cased in that yellow/golden looking stuff. The casing has now turned almost white.
There is a nice earthy smell coming from the box. The instructions said between 7-10 days the first mushrooms should start appearing. The strain is Golden Teachers if it helps anyone? Are the GTs slower to pin than others or wassup? As i said, its currently day 8 so maybe im just being impatient?
Is misting it once a day and fanning 3-5 times a day appropriate for fruiting? Please help me guys, i really dont wanna screw up my first time, even with an all-in-one job.

Ok man, i'll keep people posted on this, need as much help as i can get.
Will they grow from the casing or will they break through the layer of casing, like a normal plant?

if your casing colonizes it'll just come from that, but if the casing layer doesn't colonize they'll grow from under it and push through.

They all pin differently. no way to tell when and how these thing will pin...there are really quick ways to pin such as cold shocking but this is not necessary because Cubensis can grow in warm weather in there natural habitat. and i have never cold shocked and have achieved pinning. i suggest just wait it out a few more day. make sure your substrate is in a place where it can get some light but NOT DIRECT SUNLIGHT. fan 2 to 3 times a days or more if u want. and keep it moist in there. thats about all you can do...hope you can send another pic our way to see your progress.
