HELP. fruiting, ANY SIGNS OF COMTAM?????
    #14233260 - 04/03/11 08:50 PM (12 years, 9 months ago)

heeey..ok its came time for me to fruit. im using a grow bag. and everything has gone according to plan..however when it came time to fruit. i was worried about humidity. n spray the inside of the bag lightly and i put perlite around the bottom of the bag (which is sitting on top of a container ) and the mycyleum the had colonized got wet and u could notice the instant difference as soon as it was sprayed. and i was WORRIED. and its been about a lil over a week and i have mushrooms growing and the look fine, no green or black mold or any. the only areas in question is that spot that looks, "grey" i guess but not due to growth jus looks like mycyleum got wet. and it growin a good amount of mushrooms already. is my bag still safe?

ill post pics as good as i can like said the darker area has been that shade since i spritz'd the water. n doesnt appear contaminated in the sense of unwanted growth.

i spritz'd inside the bag and it turned a darker color and has been since n im not sure id some of the still darker spots are substrate showing through or not.

looks like coloring on the pin , but only on the spot where its rubbing against the bag. so could that be why, is it nothing?.

inside the bag. figured i would try get a sort of inside shot. ; /

IS IT RUINED? ARE THE SHROOMS SAVE'ABLE ?

also if it is gone a little bad..could i break apart the nice looking part and put into fruiting chamber? before anything is risked.?

Mushrooms like moisture, they will be fine. Nothing to worry about.

Do you plan on making a fruiting chamber? Or are you just going to keep it in the bag?

well if it is growing fine as is...then im will leave it...but if its not, and i have a chance to "save" them, then yea i may.

and i wish the color in my photos were better..this is my first time growing..and anything you see in bad growth or discoloring for contamination becuase there a few spots im not sure about. like said though,  it may jus be becuase of the water..im going to try and get a better picture of the areas in question though.. becuase any spot any other shade than that colonized white...is making me worried.

the grey spot looks like a cap pressed against the bag IMO, but i think that'd be obvious to you if it were the case, so it's probably not... but if it was the case, it'd be time to get that bad boy out before it ruins everything. other than that it looks great the moisture is good.

the mushrooms are fine, but if you have more i wouldn't even bother. try to get a better picture of the grey area if you can. it looks like a black olive lol.

its been a few years since i've done much, but i was never a fan of growing in the bag. i always chose to crumble, before the substrate pinned, into a tray or spawn to a bulk substrate.

if in doubt throw it out...

ok here are the areas im iffy about...

it does looks like it MAY have been from the pin pushing against the bag as it was growing.

and im not one who could REALLy tell the difference <<first time grower>>>

VERY excited to have actually grown mushrooms however, not sure if its a good batch..lol.  trying to find out if this bag here is a bust, success, or a bust in progress. lol. and is it save-able if in progress.

and the previous mentioned top of the substrate where i spritz'd is iffy too. but im not sure if its just the way it look when mycylium gets wet.

see ..grey -ish

and here you can see a bit of the darker shade of substrate where it was spritz'd ... above the mushies circled red.

all the spritzing was done befor any pins showed i havent sparyed since. but again like said as soon as i sprayed it wasnt that white white mycylium color anymore....

???help..i WILLL be growing more but i WANT this one to work..First time u know. glad to have gotten this far without any major contam. concerns untill now.

woot wooot.. should i just fill the bottom of my tub with the perlite...and take the shit out the bag n sit ontop of foil on top of the perlite? or shouldi jus leaave in bag.. (less risk of contam? i figure) tha bag is cut though to allow more air...still a chance of contam but yea ....

im thinking...if anything.. leave as is.. and harvest this one.. im goin to post more when that time comes to have yall check them out n tell me they are ok.. lol.. again first time grower..n dont want to get sick or anything. and next time around when comes time to fruit im goin to use chamber.
