lbm means little brown mushroom, which is about all we can tell about them from those pics. Not necessarily bad, they could be active, inactive, or poisonous. Do you see any blue spots on your mushrooms?

Thank you for helping, its much appreciated. I have been dieing to try these. Anyways back to the blue spots, not so much but i am not sure what part to be looking at. some of them are darker than others, might be a dark blue but kind of looks blackish? the lighter ones are more like a tan. but even the lighter ones have some darker spots, maybe it is just a dark blue.

the link i gave you explains the information we are likely to need. we don't always need all of it, but you will almost always want to post all of it that you can. if there are terms you aren't familiar with you should look them up. google is good for that.
assuming you found those in dung or grass i would guess you have a Panaeolus species, but without even the basic information and/or clear pictures this is pretty much a wild guess.
even with the camera that you have (which we can see does not focus well) you can usually get much better pictures by taking the photos in good lighting, and at a little greater distance. you'll notice that the first two pictures are focused a little better.
if your camera does have a macro setting (usually a button with a little flower symbol) then use that, but otherwise, just try backing off bit by bit until the pictures look sharper and make sure you have ample lighting.

What he said ^
Try really hard to get better pictures. If your friend told you where he found them include that info.

I read that page, i tried taking more photos, they are below, i just did the darkest and lightest ones of the 7. southern california is the best i can really say, i think he was saying somewhere between fresno and santa cruz. like on side of freeway i think he said, he started growing them himself but i think they originally came from the ones he found that i describbed the location of.

They don't look like anything active, look for a button or setting with this symbol on your camera
It will help you take much clearer shots. Very few digital cameras lack a macro function so it should be there somewhere. Natural lighting will make a big difference also.

the only thing close to that look is a paneaoulus tropicalis , but it seems too small for even that. It's highly doubtful that they are active. Feed on to your cat? Someones gonna fet mad I said that Your cat might die. Tell that guy he's a fag rip-off. Anyone giving away magic mushrooms better know what species they are, and tell you

Has he tried them himself? He might be using you as a guinea pig.

LMAO great idea, not sure where to get a cat though. he says he tried them before, and that other info i said already. i thinking about trusting him but id really rather have some proof. its one thing to od on something on vomit it up but another to actually die if its poison.
