There is more to life than kitty stroking. Not sure what, but I know there is.

I think not.
Well, that would be fine, if you only took that attitude towards people guilty of such dishonesty.
More often than not it's funny, but it does have to be conceded in the interest of fairness.

As in, can you pass me that straw man.
You're missing a comma.
-------------------- Republican Values: 1) You can't get married to your spouse who is the same sex as you. 2) You can't have an abortion no matter how much you don't want a child. 3) You can't have a certain plant in your possession or you'll get locked up with a rapist and a murderer. 4) We need a smaller, less-intrusive government.

Any surprise there? Its like there is a school that teaches the ducking of questions.
What question?
This one?:

Does he deserve any respect at all? Is it nessesary to laugh and throw stones and mislead the thread? This happens ALL THE TIME (sounds familiar?)
And appareantly I have no time to sit 24/7 in the forums, so a lot of things go unnoticed.

possibly because proponents of spirituality aren't concerned with tearing other people down and making them look stupid just a guess

No one can make another look stupid. That is done all by one's self.
No, proponents of spirituality like to push 'The Secret' and Heaven's Gate and astrology and homeopathy and Dr. Emoto's cyrstals and fight Holy Wars and every possible manner of nonsense in order to maintain illusion and stay stuck in superstition.

Again, though, you also take a condescending attitude towards people that don't promote dangerous pseudoscience.

I believe all pseudo-science to be unhealthy if not downright dangerous.

I agree. But my point is that you're condescending to people who don't even promote pseudo-science at all.
Vegetarianism, for instance, is not pseudo-scientific; I seem to remember lots of condescension in the thread about vegetarianism related to death anxiety.

Nor is it scientific. It is a lifestyle choice.

Yeah, but vegetarians do not fit the definition of people that you have deemed deserving of condescension (i.e. those who endanger others through the propagation of an unsupported belief). It is perfectly possible to be a healthy vegetarian.
So if you're claiming you only condescend to people who deserve it, you're incorrect.

as is spirituality. certain philosophical beliefs may begin to arise from it but they're not the meat and potatoes, just what I argue with people on the internet about
