Compare the prints.

The purplish ones were left by subs, while the black one was left by the other mushroom.

I admit that it does look a bit like a sub, but it has none of the same characteristics of the other subs from the same patch, the spore print was jet black and blue bruising was not apparent.

Yeah all good. I thought it was a sub at first glance too.

That glass box sounds good, make sure you get some pictures up once it's completed. Are you just using sub spores or experimenting with different species also?

I have some sub mycelium growing outside in an icecream container which I am going to transplant into some woodchips in a few more months. Hopefully by this time next year it will be fruiting.

I'm down in Hobart.
Keep your eyes out and I'm sure you'll find some patches.
They're definitely still about down my area.

Found 3 new big pins today in a patch I thought was dead.
Going to go round all the patches over the weekend and see what I can find.

All this rain is bringing on new pins.
Half of my hunting area was flooded, but I still managed to find a few.
