Hey guys,
At last, I found some subs!!! I found a couple at this one place, then searched at another place that is more well-known and got 3 more. I was discouraged, until I stumbled upon the most glorious patch I could imagine, in a spot I would have assumed would be completely picked over. Basically, it was a large mulched area located close to a well-trafficked spot.
My friend and I picked only what we/a few friends would need until we fly home at the end of June and about 75% of the patch was left intact.
There must have been 150+ subs left intact.
We have tested them a couple times since and they were amazing.
I'll be posting pics soon!
Happy hunting!

Hey guys. I was wondering if any of the 'trusted identifiers' can give some opinions on these guys.
Am I right in thinking they are P.subaeruginosa? They look a bit different to the P.subs I find in Melbourne. I know there's meant to be a P.tasmaniana but I dont think this is it... at least it doesnt meet the descriptions I have read of P.tasmaniana.

They all look good to me. i know im not a trusted identifier yet but i think their all ok. i could only give a definite if i saw them directly, but they all seem to have the characteristics, them being old makes it it a little harder to id for sure.
but a good representation of the variability we get in tasmania.
what general area did you find these if you dont mind my asking.
Cheers, Obtuse.

They were collected in the north of the state. They are definitely actives, I just wanna get an i.d on them. Im 90% sure they are P.sub...

I'm not sure about the mushroom in pics 3&4 but I'd call the rest P. subaeruginosa
