No. Fruit your cakes, take prints and make clones.

Also, karo is about the least useful ingredient for LC.
And LCs suck anyway, buy a little PC for ten bucks and do agar.

Goodwill for PCs, or ask around. Somebody near you has one thy don't need.

Agar and such are available locally for most people, but it might be more effective to order it in, depending on where you are.
Where are you? How close to what city?

http://www.amazon.com/Agar-Powder-4-oz/dp/B00015UC48/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1301817678&sr=8-1

15 bucks for 4 ounces, that'll last you alil bit..or you can order premixed agar so all you have to do is heat and pour..

there is this, http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/12752577/fpart/1/vc/1 but I highly recommend usinf only fully colonized cakes, unless you want to ruin the cake, and the lc you are trying to make

Grains are no harder than pf. The diff. is that you can rarely see contams in grain. Once you have done a few pf's and feel confident in your sterile teknique, grains are nothing new
