Weird Goo on BRF Cakes - Help!

So this is my 2nd grow, and a while back I made a mistake in jar choice, and bought some 1/2 pint jars with shoulders. Decided to go ahead anyway with the plan of crumbling and casing the cakes when they time came... well, the time came and 2/3 jars had invitro pins, so I decided to birth them as cakes (as I've heard cakes are best as cakes), so I cracked the jars to get them out. Then dunked the cakes for ~12hrs but didn't roll the ones with pins.
These cakes were put into my SGFC on 3/24, and most of the invitro pins aborted. Pins have been growing reallyyy slowly, so yesterday I decided to check on them and lifted the cakes up to look underneath and I found this weird, clear goo! I don't know what it is - maybe a bacterial contam?
CAKE 1 is by far the most bizarre of the cakes. It's been growing clusters of thick pin-heads but either the stems are really deep in the cake or are tiny - 2 of the pinheads broke their veils (?!?!) right on the surface of the cake... There's also a weird mutant blob on it.
Took the best pics I could... you can kind of see the clear goo I'm talking about in the last 2 pics by the pins on the top right corner and on the bottom..
CAKE 2
I circled the goo in the 2nd picture. It's pretty clear, thick but not that sticky, doesn't have any smell I can detect.
CAKE 3 might be the only cake I can save. It doesn't seem to have any goo on it. (This is the one I rolled since it didn't have invitro pins)
It does have pins on the bottom, though, which I'm not sure what to do about... but even on cake 3, I think a lot of the pins are aborting.
So, there's my weird grow. Definitely won't be using shouldered jars for cakes ever again - well, I can't anyway, since I cracked em all. Any help identifying what is causing that goo and where I should go from here would be helpful. If it ends up that I gotta toss all the cakes, then I guess I gotta toss all the cakes. Thanks!

I had this weird goo on a couple of my cakes when I took them out of the jar-not near as much as is on yours. It seemed to only appear on the top of the cake (after I flipped it) where the cake had shrunk, the mycelium started to grow upwards into the free space, and the moisture in the jar met. However, I don't actually know what the hell it is. I assumed it couldn't have been a contaminant because the cakes were perfectly healthy the whole way through.
After dunking, rolling, and placing them in the chamber the goo cleared itself within a day or two. It's very icky to touch, but I played around with it for quite a while trying to figure out what it could be!
I'm assuming some sort of metabolites?

Hmm, my most recent cake grow (with the right type of jars!) had an unusual amount of 'sweat' in the jars (from what I understand, it's the liquid secreted by myc as it consumes the sub in the jar), but this goo on my cakes posted here seems a lot different than that. It wasn't present in the jars at the time of birth - I'm pretty sure it developed after being put in the fruiting chamber.
Weird, eh? Anyway, I hope your cakes do okay and that it was just metabolites for you!
