So I have tripped about 3 times before now - the first time I had a predominantly negative experience, the second time I enjoyed myself somewhat but I didn't have many visuals and the third time I freaked out a bit in the beginning and then had an interesting time after that. I learned one thing from those experiences, and that is I much prefer tripping during the day.
I ate about 11 fresh P. Subaeruginosa around 3pm and then went to run some errands before the trip started. I started to feel a bit nauseous and so I parked my car and decided to walk the rest of the way to help my friend set up some tables and chairs in a church.
I was still feeling a bit sick, but at the same time I was really enjoying all the beautiful oranges and golds of the trees on this autumn afternoon. The grass was so green and the sky so blue, and I was in good spirits despite the nausea.
I arrived at the church (with 3 other friends) and tried to help set up the tables but I couldn't really comprehend the instructions of where to set everything up - I was also feeling a bit lethargic. I sat down at an old upright piano and briefly saw a river like effect on the old wood.
We started walking back through some parks and trees. It was one of the most beautiful days that I could remember and I was just having a great time in nature. We found a nice park and lay down on the grass on our backs. I was really enjoying the visuals; clouds were warping slightly and faces stretched and elongated.
Later on I realised I needed to move my car (the streets were empty and it was a 5 minute drive on suburban streets). Driving was incredibly fun and I felt that I could do it forever, but I reasoned that it was too dangerous and not worth the risk.
I wasn't hungry at all but the others wanted to go and get a burger so I went along and bought one too. Eating was a very strange experience and felt very foreign - it tasted kind of good but I couldn't finish it.
I was definitely in another state of mind for a few hours more but there was nothing to report in the way of a trip so I will leave it out. All in all I had one of the best days of my life and I now see what mushrooms are all about - I didn't have any introspective or spiritual realisations, but that wasn't what I was looking for - I just wanted a nice afternoon with interesting visuals and that's exactly what I got.
