my golden mammoth grow so far

this is my second grow. my first grow was also with golden mammoth using the PF Tek method (dunked but without roll). the results were shameful.
i made 12 half pint cakes. 6 of them i put in a SGFC. that sucked bad. the other 6 jars i broke up and cased. here are some pics from that so far.

those are my three pans made from the 6 jars.
when am i supposed to stop misting them? i stopped two days ago.
i have 12 jars colonizing (pf tek) with alacabenzi right now. im gonna try the monotub method with those.

you dont stop misting
you mist then fan all way up until harvesting..
just dont let water sit on them for awhile, thats why after you mist you fan to evaporate the water off your mushrooms, and water evaporating off the sub is a great pinning trigger.

oh! cuz i remember reading somewhere that someone said to stop misting after the pinning starts cuz water getting on the mushrooms will cause aborts.

understood.
so a quick light misting a few times a day... rather than one or two heavy mistings.

I have to retart to you on that issue:)
I have had entire cakes submerged in water with healthy pins (large ones..) on them and it has cause no stunted or misgrowth what so ever ona lready formed pins. To this day, I have not seen increase of abortion as it would surely be noticeable on following pinsets and my yields stayed high during all three-four flushes. All of my cakes were treated the same way and none of them showed any lack of performance. As for aborts, I dont know really but I didnt experience any halted or stunted growth from it:) I am not saying this is fact, I do believe each grow can show a lot of difference from the last but I was amazed that the cakes could deal with the treatment..
We are talking 10 hour soaks with mushrooms entirely submerged in water. In fact, to my eyes memory, they actually grew while laying there....
*NOTE* PLEASE READ!!
The above is not any form of scientific method, its just my own experience (EXPERIMENTAL) whilst trying to keep my 125 ml cakes saturated with water, as my pinsets halted due to low water content in my cakes.
Should you have moisture issues, always consult a experienced mycologist.
Have fun!

I agree fully. There doesnt seem to be a upper limit. Cakes are tricky to keep wet. My small cakes (125 ml) dry out very fast when pinning starts. I just toss them in a bin of water over night:P
well, While I am at it, a question..
Altough, I am not sure of this but I do believe that the mushroom cakes can be contaminated by bacteria specifically at all stages of life. I hope to be informed about this, as I have assumed this is fact. Can anyone tell me?
Love to all!

today's pics...

i noticed when many of you post your pics of your trays/tubs all of the fruits are mature at the same time. each one of my trays has some mature fruit and some not yet mature. do i pick the mature ones now and then wait for more to mature? or do i wait for them all to mature together?
