these companys are sneaky tho, i don't think blizzard will be able to catch them. Then might shut there accounts down and cause them some financial damage here and there but i think thats where it ends for the majority of them. Sure there will be some noobs who get caught but the pro's won't. First off blizzard would have to prove that they actually sold the items in question and didn't just jump in the game and give free shit away. If somehow they manage to catch the guy and get him into court then they would have to prove it was a sale with records and then prove it wasn't just a "donation" for there time or w/e bs they come up with

sure, there would be difficulties assosciated with it, but i'm sure blizzard would easily be able to sue them or atleast force them to stop breaching their intellectual property rights. they would have to have a site to link their items to buyers, and a registered business name to be trading, as well as website registered to a name, and so blizzard would most likely just chase that. unless it's done on that sub-internet 'tor' thing.
but yeah, it's not that important, main thing is that they prevent duping ! and give me a beta key!

servers based oversea's, you can register websites under bogus names, the only trackable part is the payments but again oversea's im sure there's ways to do it that its hard to track. They might get the website shut down but a new one springs up overnight. Again if its a donation then its not a sale so there might be a loophole there.
These are professionals/scam artists that are much smarter than anything blizzard can hire

i'm almost certain blizzard would find a way to pursue them and force them to cease said behaviour.
also whether calling something a donation or not, it is still a sale in the eyes of a law. you can't title something to be "a" when actual effect it is obviously "b", the law will deem it as "b". \
but anyway it doesn't matter much. we are only just speculating here. we have to wait and see how things unfold when the game is released !

dude ... just wait for the game and don't stress about it. The game will be how the game will be, no matter what we say.

not true, if we send blizzard enough hate mail they might be inclined to not make a sucky sequel

It's been over 10 years, its hard pressed to say that it isn't going to have to be changed a bit. Besides, they made it work for Starcraft 2.
I agree that drops are just part of Diablo, but hell they haven't said anything about drops so why even think about it yet?

i disagree sc2 sucks pretty bad, the campaign was top notch, that was really enjoyable, but i bought sc2 for the online, and its like some preteen kiddy proofed lame attempt at multiplayer. They stripped away everything that was good about the sc1 match making system, then the encorporated some big goverment control system over map making that completely ruins the experience. Anybody used to be able to make or edit a map on sc1, now you need to read a bible first and sign your soul away to blizzard when your done, only to put it onto there crappy match making system which makes it completely worthless, its geared towards little baby kids thats why it failed. For the custom map section anyway which is mostly what i play and enjoyed from sc1

Diablo III is going to be one hell of a game. Provided they itemize gear correctly I expect it to be better than Diablo II. Their auction house idea is excellent and coupled with USD and gold transactions they will kill trading sites. (a good thing) My only gripe is a lack of world pvp, but as long as players are afforded spacious and non ranked arenas I can't complain too much.

sc2 online rocks face.
sc2 custom maps suck compared to sc1, only in terms of availability. the galaxy editor is TONS better than the sc1 editors, even the custom editors like SC forge.

it might be more complex but that doesn't make it better. If only 100 people in the united states can use the dam thing then its pretty worthless. They made it "too" complex thats the problem, its also vague in what things do and where you need to go to do them, hence needing a bible to use the thing. 20 years from now when everyone has a masters degree in programing people might look back and say yeah that was a really good editor, but right now, no its pretty shitty. I could make 100 maps on sc1 in the time it takes me to make 1 map on sc2.
as for the custom maps themselves, everyone has the sc1 maps as a guide to reproduce sc2 maps, and every single time they fail, why is that? There's something fundamentally wrong with sc2 for all the remakes to suck so bad. There's only about 3 maps i even play on sc2, star battle, island defense, and runling...thats it, and thats one shitty shitty online experience let me tell you.

a big flaw of the map maker for sc2 is you can't save codes or programming while in the middle of a function. you have to complete each step before saving, and that may not sound like much, but if someone is running a massive code that spans for pages and pages and is very intricate, it's alot of liability, because if their comp crashes in that time, they will loose all of their previous work. it should allow you to save at any point finished or unfinished, even if it doesn't function, just simply to preserve the code and previous work.
thats a big criticism of the map editor i've heard from map makers.
