BRF Cakes: variation with inoculum injections?

Someone told me that approximately 1/2-mL worth of syringe spore solution would be needed per inoculation port, totaling 2-mL.
Would there be any particular advantage of injecting more/less spores than this quantity per jar?
Would it be wasteful?
More spores per jar = more chance of survival per jar?
Cheers, Medici

More spores does not equal better results/better chance of survival. Using 2ccs per jar is wasteful. 1CC per jar is the standard.

Less is more with spores. Use a tiny dribble, just enough to see it trickle down the glass.

You can get away with using less than 1cc per jar if ya want. More spores dose not equal better.

I will say this....On my pint pf jars, 1 cc germinates deeper in the jar than 1/2 cc. I reckon it runs down the glass further before being absorbed by the verm. This is the one instance where more is more, but diluting the solution isn't a bad idea

Thanks everyone for your responses. Smaller portions must be better!
EDIT: I also agree with paducahovoids though, more could mean more surface area covered initially, like stabilizing the surface of the cake rather quickly.. hmm
