BRF jars - Is this too tight?

I've read that it's recommended 1-2 inches apart. I'm spawning into pint jars and I can't stack because it would be 2 inches from the roof of the fc. Just before I set everything up and can't go back, I want to not waste any cakes (ie, have some left over with no room for. it would be a shame) and I've searched a lot honestly. I can't stack and so many different views I would just appreciate you sacred growers to take a look at this. if it would be unethical to do this i would rather not because they do deserve to be comfortable. good vibes in good vibes out.
would this work? they are pretty tightly packed, at the most 2 inches i'd say about an inch to an inch and a half max on most:

Well the mushrooms would get entangled but thats about it. The bigger problem is pint jars, don't use with BRF mix, they will stall or go really slow. And you need holes in the bottom of that FC.

They will stall? I didn't know that tbh I just couldn't figure out why people kept stacking. That is a shame... Should I go get half pints and return these if I can?
And yeah I forgot about, I will do that tomorrow.

I've seen them work before, but they always take a long ass time, or just don't finish colonizing at all. The BRF mix can compact, because of how tall the pint jars are. The weight of the top half can suffocate the bottom half.
Wide mouth half pints are the best option for using BRF, you should go get them.

OK thank you Psiloscyentist. You may have saved me. I have a trip to go to in 9 weeks and I would really hope they would be done by then. With pint jars, it seems unlikely. Now that I did some search in the area you made me aware of, it seems pint jars are no bueno...
