I keep my morels in a bowl with a damp paper towel on top.  My family always pigs out when I get into a good batch of Morels, but I usually have leftovers.  I try not to keep them in the fridge for more than 3 days.  For long preservation, drying works great for me.

I avoid anything plastic.  Morels do fine in a paper bag in the fridge, but for long term (year++) drying them is the way to go.  My food dehydrator is still covered in spores from last year.
