Bulk harvest - HELP!

Well let me start by saying that for my second attempt I am overly thrilled with the success of my bulk grow. That being said, how in the hell am I going to harvest this without totally destroying the casing?! I mean look at this, where does one start? Any tips or tricks or advice from cultivators who also have had an overwhelming pin set would be great!!
Thanks again Puffin

And that is an amazing grow by the way. Just twist and pull. You will ruin some of your casing, but don't fret too much. You can just patch later.

ahhh yes the old twist and pull tek.. I dunno where to start, Im a little intimidated. I had another casing about the same size which pretty much did the same thing but the substrate was so dry huge chunks came out, even though I was extremely gentle. Im hoping to dunk and try for a second, I guess Ill just have to do the best I can lol.
addition: So as far as patching goes, after I dunk just cover the exposed grains with a bit of hydrated coir? Im still pretty new to this despite my "luck" this time round...

You want to be using a 1:1 ratio of peat:verm as a casing with Hydrated lime to balance the pH. Coir will just be colonized by the myc.

Sorry like I said before Im a newb. A little embellishment would be of great importance. Is what your suggesting going to help moisture content during the fruiting cycle? Are you saying moisture is being eaten up because Im using only coir / lil bit verm and nothing else? In what way is the aforementioned ratio going to improve my situation? All of this is new to me so Im happy to incorporate all suggestions into my operation.. Thanks for your input. Always learning, absorbing.

Well first of all... i like the bag of herbage in your sig.... Ever had 30 of those for yourself haha anyways fuck it bro. Twist and twist then pull. I take it very easy on my casings and fuck patching. I don't risk contams bc that's what it does. Let that shit ride and congratufuckinglations that's mighty fine. How big is that block of sub and what did you use?
Happy growings always bro

haha lol love it.. thanks for the compliments. It means so much!! I never bothered with cakes my first time 'round. I was fortunate enough to, by chance, come into contact with someone who has been in this trade for 8+ years. A FOAF from work opened my eyes and told me where to look to learn if I was interested. Soon after he gave me an 80% colonized rye berry Q. Jar to experiment with... no words could describe how thank full I am to have had his guidance. Sub is 2.5" deep, 12" wide and 18 - 20" long. I forgot to bag it before I spawned to coir/verm so it pinned from the sides *mother fucker*. Oh well... learn from your mistakes, and so once I noticed it was pulling and pinning from the sides I ran to the nearest hardware store and bought a bigger tub. Ever so diligently swapped FC's and hoped for the best!!
Thanks again Puffin

Looks fantastic, definintely manageable. Just pull them one by one, sometimes 2-3 at a time.
Be gentle.

WOW! Very nice casing. I get as close as I can to the substrate and slowly twist the mushrooms back and forth to gently break them away. Enjoy!
