first, why would these items be ethnic, second why do you imply that this isnt a part of white southern culture, just like the RC Cola and Moon Pies

because both food products originated before the very conception of White America. duh. sure, the south might have adapted its own variety of these food products but isn't that exactly what i just said.
EDIT: btw, very few food products are originally american. not even the hamburger was conceived in america, my friend.

hotdogs originated in america. none of the ingredients did, but the concept of it was actually invented here on American soil.

by spontaneous generation or was it the migratory process where they came from other continents, I seem to recall rednecks being from scotland in the 1600s and hicks can be found all over the world

ah, the game of semantics. i love playing.
Go to your local supermarket. Search for the aisle: Ethnic Foods. You're not gonna find any hotdog buns or hamburger patties in there, are ya? Nope, ya won't. You'll be lucky to find anything packaged or manufactured in America. Do you really need me to explain to you why "White food" isn't considered ethnic? Or, is something that obvious just beyond you?
BTW, the scottish interpretation of the term "redneck" isn't the same as the American terminology. As you probably know if you read the Wikipedia entry for the term Redneck. lol. Every common American citizen has the same common, general idea of what a hick/redneck is. If you actually want to have an intelligent conversation about this, then I'd gladly oblige. But, if you want to start a semantics war, I highly doubt you'd succeed. Sorry, brah.

yeah i actually read that already before i answered biff. if you reread it, the frankfurter and the hotdog are two different things. but my previous post was wrong. europeans have been eating sausages in buns for a while now, just not hotdogs.

I wont find pigs feet there either, pickled or otherwise, they're usually hanging out with the hamburger patties in refrigeration or next to the potted meat and spaghettio's

made in the USA http://www.maruchan.com/

www.lachoy.com/

http://geishabrand.com/Recipes/Asian

maybe you should look into what is and isnt made in the US on that isle, it may surprise you

no need to explain, it's racism pure and simple, everyone feels the need to exclude whites as an ethnicity when ethnicities have nothing to do with skin color but more to do with regional culture

while america has a definition of redneck, it typically doesnt include 'farmer' which was the definition of redneck until bigots got a hold of it in their semantics wars and started excluding whites as an ethnicity
I've already won
