is there a good guide to make a cool mist fc out of a storage tub like i'd make a shotgun fc out of? I am currently drilless and need to make a shotgun fc.
I have a cool mist and a tub so I was thinking of giving it a go and rigging it up.
questions suggestions?
thanks -oop

You could heat up a knife or a corkscrew and melt through. Or use a knife to poke the holes then push a nail through them. I see a lot of threads getting advised against the cool mist humidifiers or using a timer because it will drench everything in there and cause abortion.

i think there are easier ways to go about keeping humidity up. monotubs, shotgun FCs, and PMPs.

I've decided to set up my mini green house and put my ultra sonic fogger in my cool mist then place that on the bottom shelf. Update*
I setup my mini greenhouse and coolmist (removed filter) above a tote to catch water. I set the shelves as high as possible so there is a good amount of plastic around the cool mist. I spray once at night and once in the morning with a fine mister.
I leave the cool mist on all day and it stays fuller much longer than if I were to leave it on in my room like I had been doing. I leave a corner of the greenhouse unzipped up to the first shelf to provide a nice airflow.
The hygrometer that I have is about 20 off. When I did a wash cloth test it showed 75 but at times I have seen it at 80 in my SGFC. The mini greesnhouse with the cool mist and morning and night mists stays at an almost constant 80. My guess being 80 is high 90s. nothing is drenched and there is a steady airflow through the FC.
I still feel SGFCs are the way to go but this is definitely less work. Especially since I had been running the cool mist almost all day anyway. I can't wait to find my ultra sonic fogger and throw it in my cool mist.
I try to live by the rule "keep it simple stupid", and it's been working out so far.

I also put my shotgun terrarium that I put to many holes in in the bottom tote elevated about an inch.
