Moar Agaricus campestris and an I.D Request

Habitat: Found in somewhat recently mowed lawn.
Gills: Free from the stipe, dark brown mottled, with what looked to be liitle white spots where undeveloped basidia were. Upon examination amoment ago, they were longer there. Maybe I can get a gill sample under the scope and get some barrel shots.
Stem: Whitish with only remnants of an annulus, hardly any at all. One can see an older chocolate deposit above where it once was. It may be hard to see, but the base is not bulbous.
Cap: Gray to brown with striate fibers roughly 2mm wide.
Spore print color: A somewhat light milk chocolate color
Bruising: Little color change was observed. After a while, one of the ones farther past their prime got a slightly yellow look where
Location: North GA

I apologize for the mediocre pics, but I'll be getting a better camera in 48 hours.

Agaricus campestris, the one with the broken stem looks quite buggy too.

I agree.
I'm not consuming them, I'm going to dry them and put them up. Also, maybe one of these days, I'll go to my school and see if one of the professors would let me bum some time under a clean bench as I got some surprisingly good prints.
EDIT: Also, there wasn't really any scent to them except that of rot caused by the bugs.

if you're going to go to all that trouble, you should at least make some cultures.
while it's certainly a handy safety measure, a flow hood isn't required for making prints, and at least with tissue cultures you've got cloned stock.
--------------------
Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it. If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

I'm not trying to make a clean print under a flow hood (also, that would kind of seem counter productive considering the fact the the cap itself is not clean and would be blowing some not so awesome, punk ass spores around the room), I'm talking about making cultures under the flow hood from the prints. I figured I'd take 'em, put them on agar, then make myself some slants, plates, and the like to put up.
EDIT: Anywho, as to the cleanliness and viability of the Agarcus flesh, it's already dying, dried out, and somewhat rotten smelling thanks to the bugs omnomnomnomning them.

right now I'm trying to juggle playing with my new DSLR (now I don't have to borrow my aunt's and I don't have to pay any more favors), doing a Humanities assignment, and contacting my microbiology professor to set up some time under a clean bench. Oh yeh, a couple pics from the camera:

I'm still a noob with the depth of focus, but I'm going to work on it. Also, that violet should be a bit more violet like the one in the back ground as I messed with the contrast on it.
EDIT: Also, I need a tripod as I'm a bit shaky.

Habitat: Mulch (or so I think) I found it growing both at home and at the school. They were growing under bushes (except in my yard) so I dunno. They were all growing in mulch regardless of what was nearby in all patches.
Gills: Free, brown gills of a uniform color.
Stem: White, fibrous, willing to split into fibers rather than break cleanly. 2cm wide.
Cap: hygrophanous, 3-5 in. in diameter.
Spore print color: light brown thus far (I'll get a pic when the print shows up better)
Bruising: No color change was observed.
Location: Picked in Dalton, GA

accurate cap coloration
Will get more pics in situ in a little bit.

That is incredibly confusing. So are you saying you picked two different specimen from two different location? If so you should keep them as separate IDs. Are you simply assuming you have picked two of the same mushrooms?

Yes it an assumption. Also, please allow me to apologize for my lack of clarity. The specimens pictured are ALL from the same patch. It was the patch, whose specimens you are observing, that made me think that they were growing from the mulch. the others I saw (separately labeled, and not photogrpahed yet) were also growing in mulch, but were closer to plants, reminding me of a mycorrhizal relationship. Again those fungi I just mentioned are not pictured

Also, pics in situ

EDIT: Also, looking at the spore print, so far it's a light brown.
