alright good I'm starting to see you treat this as a cake and the wax paper holds the humidity to it right?

Yes to the wax paper acting like the verm layer you roll onto a cake.
But don't treat it like a cake- it provides humidity through evaporation, and you replace the moisture when you spray.
Don't try to humidify the air with the spray bottle, that's not it.

You may or may not need to spray while the wax paper is down, check every 2-3 days to see.

Man, nothing like growing in your parents house :lolsy:

I still say, those PF's (now known as PF classic) were twice as danky as anything Ive grown since. 3 grams and you're gone! Maybe it was just me though

that's not true, there was a video of some old guy from england or ireland throwing cow shit into a big outdoor shack and tossing mushroom stems into it, then a few weeks later put on a casing, then had mushrooms.
that was probably the original tek

next year I'm going to try that sclerotia stuff and some cakes, was so much easier to do cakes and if these 2 tubs flush like crazy I'll actually have TOO much :uhoh:

if I clear 2 oz's off of each I'll be happy.

Must've missed that. I just remember the old black and white Fanaticus site...I found a mirror to the original site, I still visit for nostalgia purposes...

That's how I first grew some mushrooms

Yes cakes are for sure easier. But Ive been spawning cakes to coir which takes for ever!

This is my first tub work . Done trays a few times with a bit success.

Cakes even when I did 40-60 at a time just seemed like lots of work for not that much yield .

A dozen cakes ought to give you a qp or so.

I found that using rye in QT jars and either casing the rye or spawning that to coir/coffee/drywall was not only way easier, but faster and about 4 times as productive....

When I do cakes, it's mostly for the nostalgia...Cooking rye just smells sooooooooooooooo gooooooooooooooood

EDIT: I keep forgetting this is the EMC for the day, ooops

I stick mainly to cakes, but I've got some new species that would probably need other methods, so it's important to be adaptive.

I would only get maybe 2 grams dried  per cake per flush sometimes less.

I could use better lighting last place had tons of natural light and it worked like a charm.

Using  those energy save cff bulbs dont hold a candle.

I must be doing something wrong lol

Alright pulled out all the polyfill and misted the tub a bit, threw down some wax paper and turned the light on.  Good to go?  I should keep the polyfill out the entire grow now right??  Now that I looked at tub two, these things look like they want to fruit
