How often do you use paper money?

I was looking over some bank statements for the past couple of months and I noticed I hadn't made an ATM withdrawal or any cash withdrawal since December 31st (For new year's eve).
I haven't drank since then, so really, all I use paper money for is going out to the Bar.

I used cash about 10 days ago in a bar. Before that, it must have been months.

yeah bars and bridge tolls are the only time i use cash anymore.
i actually like the Canadian currency a lot more than the US. $1 and $2 coins are so much more efficient than the shite paper we have.

Hardly ever.
Maybe 4-6 times a year when I buy girl scout cookies, or make a random donation somewhere. Certainly not more than once a month.
I also get 1% cash back on all card purchases. I've banked thousands off this, just for spending money I needed to anyway. I've probably made 3k+ in the last 4-5 years.

I use cash 100% of the time. I'm too poor to use debit or credit. I think I've used debit once EVER. it makes me feel pretty far out of the loop when everywhere I go everyone else is paying with their card, but whatever.
I just got my first debit/credit card about two months ago and I'm almost 26 years old. but since i lost my last temp job, my account has run too low to use the card so i don't even keep it in my wallet at this point. pretty much everyone else i know my age has been paying for everything with a card since they were like 18. half of them don't have jobs either but they have huge bank accounts which their parents maintain for them. my parents won't even give me gas money if i have a job interview to get to and my car won't start. to make me learn independence. great strategy huh
with cash i can only spend what i have, and i don't have to face the possibility of overdrafts fees and bullshit like fees for not having under $100 in my checking account or various other ridiculous fees that banks use to take money that poor people don't even have.

I almost exclusively use cash, I hate my bank with a passion and only use them to cash checks. Just the other day they canceled my account for no fucking reason and tried to tell me I had to deposit my whole check and couldn't get the money till it processed 4 days later. Fuck that bunch of god damn idiots...

I'll use my debit card for bigger purchases but most things under $50, I'll use cash. I usually keep around $200 on me. You never know when you'll need it and not have convenient access to an ATM.

I try to use cash almost exclusively.
If I pay with plastic, I tend to way overspend on stupid shit.
Having to physically hand over real money somehow makes the spending more real to me.
It's retarded, I know, but it's just how I work.
If I go to the grocery store with plastic, I'll leave with a hundred dollars in sushi, steak, and liquor.
Whereas if I go and only have cash I'll keep my spending reasonable.

Don't worry boneman, you're not really behind on things according to the standards of today. With life expectancy going up and societal standards changing, you're not really an "adult" 'til you're about 25 anyway.
I have friends who just started going to college and they're 24- 27 years old, and we're talking full time University kids. I have another friend whose doctor told her she was an "early bird" for having her first child when she was 25. I know Grad students that are in their early 30's who rent, don't have kids, and party quite a bit. I got a buddy of mine who just started touring with his band, and he's 29. I was partying with a guy I hung out with a few times before back in the fall, and I thought he was in his early, mid 20's because of the way he acted, and to my astonishment I learned he was 34.
All the people I know who are in their mid to late 20's or early 30's and still having the time of their lives like they were teenagers, free of the hassles you normally associate with getting older, are very happy and free spirited... incidentally, the people I happen to know, relatives etc. who got married and had kids and started a family when they were in their early 20's, are now miserable, and the LIFE that once encompassed them has all but vanished.
Do yourself a favor and enjoy your life the way you're living it, there's plenty of time to be miserable when you really do get old.

I deposit most of my money into my savings. I have a PSECU card and it lets me take out as many withdraws as I want from my savings for free at certain places.
I dont like checking because if you lose your card people will use it. Plus a long time ago my identity was stolen by a 6'5 black man. He was busted for it but I still get paranoid about it.
