PETA contest offers vasectomy to winner
    #14208419 - 03/30/11 09:12 AM (12 years, 10 months ago)

Quote:

The animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has long advocated for dogs and cats to be spayed or neutered. Now, it's extending the campaign to humans.

The Norfolk, Va.-based group is offering a free vasectomy to the winner of its "Why should PETA neuter you?" campaign. Applicants enter the contest by getting their cat or dog spayed or neutered and submitting an essay to PETA.

The group says human overpopulation contributes to animal suffering by draining water and land resources and causing pollution.

The contest runs through April 27.

Sauce

How far are these absolute whack jobs going to go before even less people take them seriously?  What a completely flawed and contradictory organization.  I like some of their ideas but their radical stance on stupid shit makes it impossible to support them.

Humans are on the top of the food chain. Animals are going to be killed and eaten forever and ever. These fanatics that try to make drastic points like the Go Veg girl above are completely out of touch with reality

I always disliked shit like this.  It's so lame.

I am pescetarian for the record and I rarely even eat sea creatures cause I'm poor.  Packaging yourself like dead meat or locking yourself in a cage for shock effect are just silly and doesn't work as intended.

Documentaries like Food Inc that show real facts and really educate people are so much more beneficial and useful.

yeah seriously, they should actively try and reduce animal suffering
where they can have effect and stop doing stupid shock campaigns
that are an embarrassment and detrimental to the organizations true motives.

I want to enter their little "contest" and in my statement is to why they should neuter me I shall state:

"I feel like i would be the perfect candidate for your contest due to my addiction to sexually abusing puppies and kittens. Please help me end this horrible affliction PETA!"
