Choose your weapon! What's your weapon of choice?

Choose your weapon! What's your weapon of choice?
First off, I hope the peace loving folk of The Pub will allow us to have a decent topic here.
That said..
Whats your weapon of choice? If you had to pick one you feel most comfortable wielding - which would it be?
Its not about the most EFFECTIVE or LETHAL weapon, since Aliens we all know thats nuking the site from orbit. Theres no Enemy here, or scenario to prepare for.
Pick the one you would be most proficient with, one you have a particular affinity for. Something that has your fancy.
The thread works like this:
Name your weapon of choice
Post a picture of said weapon or the closest thing to it.
Are you any good with it?
Do you own one? (optional)
Why this one and not another?
Please dont be funny guys OK? We are talking combat weapons here, improvised or designated, that you could see yourself taking into a conflict situation. A revolver or barstool, sure. A cucumber? No, take those lulz to another thread please. If you cant see yourself fighting under any condition, more power to you but dont post here. If you can, what would be your weapon of choice, one you have affinity for, or skill with.

Name your weapon of choice
Practical Plus Wakizashi by Hanwei Forge

Its a Japanese shortsword (2 foot long, less than 2 lbs) forged for actual use in cutting tests, folded carbon steel, rayskin leather and all that jazz, takes a razor sharp edge and holds it well. Wakizashi swords were the Samurai's backup sword for indoor fighting.
Are you any good with it? Reasonably good, i'm not so good at defense but I can slice like a mofo
Do you own one? (optional) Definitely, and I keep it in tiptop condition.
Why this one and not another? I just have an affinity for it, am decent in wielding it, lightning fast, precise and comfortable.

If you want a good priced sword thats actually good and safe to handle, look into Hanwei and Cas Iberia. If they say its fit for combat - it IS. Saves you a ton of research.

many of the practical series need to be tempered, the blades will bend under moderate use

I want to stock up on swords, we could potentially run out of ammo if we survive the zombie apocalypse long enough thats when people are gonna want swords and knives and hatchets.
a magnum 500 would be sweet but i'm sure i couldn't handle the kick at least i could make my enemies shit their pants and run away

I carry around a little 5-6" blade.
Pris, as soon as I have the money I'm going to start looking at a wakizashi. IMO it looks less threatening than a knife (looks more ceremonial) and it is undoubtedly way more effective. I'm converted.

For a Practical Plus Katana by Hanwei Forge, about $200-250 if you shop right, BUT you got to inspect what you get before you buy it, quality fluctuates.
If you want to spend more, they have REALLY AWESOME katanas that just take your breath away.
The PPK is a workhorse, and they managed to still make it look good.
