Polyfil is a couple dollars a bag.
There is never a time to use a damn bandaid unless your broke ass poor, and in that case you should stop doing this hobby.
Go get some polyfil.... Done

I originally asked the question due to the fact that the Tek used an airport syringe to allow air exchange when knocking up.
After thinking about it, I wasn't sure if the self healing hole would allow for GE.

Of course, then there's the problem of eating vermiculite. On the bright side, it makes your poop and teeth glitter.  Just pretend it's christmas.

How would a self healing port allow GE when it "self heals" shut?
Its common sense right there that silicone will prevent GE, and you need a whole new hole with either tyvek or polyfil.

And tyvek sucks.

If you are only using one polyfil hole as both your GE and injection port, how do you keep your LC from running out of that single port when you draw it into a syringe?

I never said that.. Put your Silicon port on one side,
and your nice little polyfill on the other.
I just love polyfill  Easy as hell to work with
and you can use it for a bunch of shit.

Alright.  Gotcha.

Whatever works works.  I just like my tyvek lids because now since they have been made, all I have to do put them on the jars and tighten the lid ring.  Completely reusable for at least 20 times.  Kinda depends on how thick your silicone injection ports are though.  I made the silicone pretty thick on both sides of the lid.

Maybe I will give polyfill a try this summer.  I have a big old bag of it I have used for my monos.  It has lasted years.

IDK, maybe presure builds up enough to expand the knock up hole enough for GE.
I not making a statement. I was asking
