I want to be a scientist. Ask Janamil how that goes without an education.

college is fucking useless. Do you really think that degree is going to help you get a job once you've graduated? And more importantly, do you really think college is going to give you the skills you need to be competitive on todays job market? Fuck no! Unless you're going to become like a doctor, a lawyer, or an engineer, a college degree is worthless and you'll probably just end up working behind a cash register or as a clerk at best.

You'd be better off just not getting into all that student loan debt in the first place. Find a job with whatever skills you do have and get really good at it. Job experience is the only thing that really counts these days.

Dumbest thing I have ever read. Talk about subconciously regretting not going to college...Do you even have a real job? 6 figure job?

Lol @ the the college is fucking useless guy. It's funny because, inter alia, you probably surround your self with idiots that have no ambitions in life. College has been proven to make the degree holder a significant amount of money compared to a non degree holder (HS grad and so on). If you prefer to use your skills in ways that will bring you financial stability in the now and future, then go at it! More power to you. In that case, there are only a few professions that require skills that were attained in the span of your life to date that don't require the knowledge of higher education. Sorry but if you aren't intelligent enough to do certain tasks that take years to acquire via long semesters of lectures and examination, you my fellow will not attain the comfort of living without having to worry about your house being foreclosed on or evicted from that shack down that dirt road.... Ignorance is what you my friend have more than enough of. I say pick up a book and start reading. :super:

Peace and love my friend!

What are you talking about?  On weekends I have to worry about the 3 projects and 3+ assignments I have due along with the work I have to do because I have school during the week.

When you work full time, with the type of job I want, work stays at work.  THAT's when you have nothing to worry about on weekends.

i find im only miserable when i have a class i dont truly enjoy.

im taking biology and chem courses at the same time right now, and i love em both. it is a kind of big work load, but i find the shit im doing interesting.

i hate history though. i recently dropped my history of science class because it was so miserable. now im as happy as a pig in shit again, since i dont have the stress of that nonsense that i have no interest in hanging over my head . unfortunately i have to get those core curriculum credits next year....

so next semester im taking "knowledge and reality" and "abnormal psychology" to get my last core curriculum credits out of the way .... i cant say 100% whether or not i will actually like them, but they sound right up my alley.

I agree.  One can choose to do a college program that has a high workload and is filled with stress, or one can choose a degree program that is fairly easy and stress free.  The same goes for your job after school... You can choose one that has a high workload and is filled with stress, or one that is fairly easy and stress free.

In my case, both undergrad and grad school have been much harder and more stressfull than when I worked before going to college.  I anticipate after graduating getting a job that has less of a work load and less stress than I do now in school.  Its not uncommon for me to work 60 hours a week, 7 days a week right now.  I wont be doing that when I get a job.

Okay, I want to be a teacher. Try even getting the job without a degree and get back to me. The next step is knowing techniques to deal with different types of students. :goodluck:

I was supposed to graduate after this spring quarter, but i just found out today that i botched up my grades in the winter and now im on academic probation again.. which means i have to drop some classes in order to stay under the probation unit limit.. which means im stuck here for another 6 months and that i'l have to spent the money ive been saving over the past 6 months to travel a bit during the summer, leaving the country for the first time in 12 years on some fucking apartment just to take more classes and then look forward to taking more classes in the fall... Im going insane, only good thing about college is the free time and living off of loans and grants, but i cant move anywhere, i feel like im trapped in this reality which i cannot escape from and start actually living life cause i know if i dropped out my mom would probably burst an artery or something and i'd have that on my conscience.

I am finally graduating this spring.  I'll be glad to have some good income for a bit while doing something at least semi-interesting.  Working for peanuts ain't my thing.

College is only worth it if you want it to be.  Drop out if you don't like it.  Waste of money going if you don't want to.

On top of that i have no friends here since everyone i meet bores me to death.

Welcome to the world.  People are idiotic and stupid for the most part.  Don't bother looking for anything more than that. :smirk:

Or just walk around campus offering free yogurt to people.  You may meet the love of your life.

Just kidding kid, long time no see, glad to see you're still alive!

Peace out, Sucka.

Im not looking for anyone, i just wanna be done with school so i can travel and most likely move to either south america or asia someplace. I think thats a long overdue perspective shift. I feel like im trapped in a prison, albeit a confortable and nice one. I pretty well off but being so restricted in my actions makes me feel like im wasting my life.
