SWIM is about to harvest a first flush from cakes and wants to make some tea for the first time. Since the search function won't work, can anyone share recipes that have worked for them. SWIM would like to make enough for 3 people and is planning on using fresh mushrooms. Any info on wet weight per person or for all 3 would be greatly appreciated. Thanks...

My friends put eight ounces of non-pulp orange juice per person in a blender and toss in two to three grams of dry shrooms (20 to 30 grams wet) per person. They blend on high for a minute and gulp it down. They can hardly taste the shrooms this way. Sometimes they follow up with a chewable vitamin C tablet; the tartness covers up any taste the OJ didn't get.
Next (very important) they take a few papaya enzyme pills from the health food store. They say there's nothing better to avoid nausea, and believe me they've tried everything!
Have fun!

for fresh shrooms - chop or blend them thoroughly. heat some water, you can boil it if you want, it's not a big problem. pour the hot water onto the shroom pieces/mush in your cup. add two tea bags, flavor of your choice. let it sit for half an hour. use a wire strainer to filter out the shroom mush, make sure you squeeze out all the water that's in it. drink.
some people will tell you not to add sugar. I usually add sugar and it's fine.

Thanks for the info. SWIM has eaten shrooms plenty of times before, but just wanted to try some tea. SWIM will let everyone know how it went as s/he is going to make it for some friends on Saturday.

psylocybin and psylocin have low boiling points... I dont know how low but to dry them the teks say not to use hot air.. from a heater or something.
This is mos-def below 100 degrees centigrade so why risk it by BOILING the darned things ??
That OJ + Blender idea sounds scrumptious.
My goat appreciates the idea.

i dont think it is wise to use a coffee maker either....like when making tea
jus keep it simple boil some water, let water sit for a minute off the heating element
put some crushed dried or wet cubes in, add a green tea bag
stir, sit for about 15mins of low heat, stir
strain off fiburous material, add some brown sugar
