Please Help, First time using 50/50, and stuck.

I am right in the middle of my second grow. Firt grow i dunk and rolled. This time i crumbled the cakes and used the 50/50 tek. (Followed casing 101).
It has been 9 days on my big one, and not one hint of myc. 4 days on my smaller one, and nothing, not one hint of growth on either
I followed the (casing 101) perfectly and shouldn't have any problems, but just like my first grow (only got 8g dried)I find myself frustrated.
I would post pics but they look like any other casing.
I took a fork and poked around gently (i already know i shouldn't have, dont tell me)...........anyway....there is no growth but the crumbled cake pieces seem fine. They should have the right amount of moister and I didn't use to thick of a casing.
So, can someone please help me out.
Any comments and advice is welcomed.
Thank you in advance

Wish I could help, but I tried that 50/50 casing tek on 3 crumbled BRF cakes and didn't have any success, either. I eventually had to throw the trays out because one got contams. Hopefully someone more experienced comes along and chimes in!

After u case, you want to cover your trays with foil for next 3-4 days and then introduce to fruiting!

50/50 being peat/verm?
or 50/50 being coir/verm?
how did you pasteurize your casing?
did you crumble your cakes and apply the casing layer in a nice clean environment?
what sort of fruiting chamber do you have?
i'd be willing to bet your fruiting chamber is the cause of most of your problems.

Peat/Verm
Oven
crumbled and applied in clean area
My fruiting chamber cant be the problem, its not supposed to go in their until after some myc is poking through (should be 5 days by what ive read)..or so i thought? Even though nothing has happened should I pop it in the chamber?

Pure vermiculite is very very simple, and a good, straightforward alternative.. coir is way better suited as a substrate than a casing layer, too..

Start over, if you want to do bulk then use a bulk substrate. Peat/verm is casing not a substrate and will not get you a better yield. So next time leave cakes as cakes and roll with Verm that is your casing layer. If you want to crumble and use your cakes as spawn then get some coir or manure.

If the mycelium is not colonizing the casing at all after this long, it's contaminated.
Maybe I am misunderstanding, this is what you did:
crumbled brf cakes and immediately cased them with 50/50 mix that you pasteurized in the oven.
correct?
and it's now 9 and 13 days later and no myc poking thru the casing yet?
If that is correct, then something is wrong. Probably your pasteurization. Please describe exactly how u oven pasteurized?
