Thanks, It surprised me how much the block shrank.
Looks like it's sinking.
Most of that is probably water loss.

Yes. I only got four mushrooms from this flush, but they were very large.

What was your substrate composition if you do not mind me asking?

I currently have a spawn run going of the 75 culture you sent to me
months and months ago. I played around with another strain for a bit
and RR suggested I try the 75 out for even better results. After seeing
your timelapse I am very exited to fruit out my blocks!

I have been using two methods to create blocks:

Pasteurized hardwood fuel pellets

Supplemented bags:
-8 cups fuel pellets
-9 cups water
-half cup gypsum
-1 cup wheat bran

I hope the mixture is not to nutritious for the 75.

Evil, - I had some trouble with fruits in the bags.
Here's my latest Shiitake recipe for 5 lb bag (large bag wet weight).
I think I used this plus 4 TBS unbrewed coffee grounds (but I donn't think I will use the coffee anymore)

1.5 qt heating pellets
3 heaping tbsp garden gypsum
1/2 cup wheat bran
1200 ml filtered water.

Spawn with 1/2 - 1 qt shiitake colonized rye.

Thanks for the information.

I just made up 4 5-6lb bags that are in the pressure cookers using
your recipe. We shall see how they go

Nice, Good luck!

I hope you do a little better than this:
Look at all these invitro shiits. I only took my eye off the bag for a couple of days.
Did I eat them? You bet. Dried them and put them in ramen!

Awesome!  I'm filming a Shiitake time lapse right now that I think you might like.  Block should be done in two or three more days.
