Looking for a mentor.
    #14199701 - 03/28/11 07:41 PM (12 years, 11 months ago)

I do not have the money at this stage in life to pay for yoga classes or a gym membership, as my mental problems have caused unemployment and I'm getting behind on my classes.

The first step to fixing these problems is to get my life back in order, or so I believe, and I would like to start by eating well, sleeping enough, and getting a normal excercise routine down.

So what I'm here to ask is, would anybody be willing to teach me about yoga (stages to learn different positions etc) and help me to build an excercise routine that involves nothing more than my own body?

I realize the chances of me finding this person is sorta low, but I figure it's worth a shot. Send me a PM if you'd be willing to help.

Thankyou for your time.

i have no experience with yoga, yet.

my favorite body weight exercise is standing on something like a chair with one leg, then bending that leg, and touching or near touching the floor with the other foot. rinse and repeat.. it is an intense leg work out. about 10 of each leg and im feeling it, nicely.

I've got quite a few myself, I just want somebody who can help me develop a routine that will give me a full body workout.

I got some girl to help me out. She told me to start with Sun Salutation.

I really like this sequence of poses. It honestly does really relax me. Make sure you practice breathing at the right times.

I have been practicing a more challenging pose. Specifically The Crows Pose. I really love this pose. I am only able to hold it for 5-7 seconds but even that small amount of time is such an accomplishment for me.

I would love to work up to holding this one for a minute.

Online sources and youtube are definatly good ways to start. I think a class is worth looking at but you dont have to take that route. I prefer doing it on my own because I am more relaxed that way.

Cheers!
