Never again will I pick up mysterious egg sacs/cocoons and take them inside my house to hatch. Thousands of baby spiders all over the house = not fun.

Actually they become Lackey moths.  Gypsy moths are another pest for hardwoods though because they eat the foliage of the trees.

Good idea Pris, my go-to method of quick removal of low lying nests was to just drop a big rock on them after snapping the branch off. We here in MA rely on more primitive methods to get the job done :shrug:
