There are 2 dudes in my area that are hilarious/entertaining to watch every time i drive by.
This dude is always rocking the fuck out.
Sucks it's a short vid.
Has anyone else seen these guys/girls? Would you do it? I would probably do it for no less than $15/hr.

Yeah. The guys here don't get as excited. They just calmly wave the sign back and forth.
Down in Santa Ana, there's guys with headphones on who get all sorts of down. Dancing with signs for taco places or carnicerias or tamales or whatever.

I always see these guys out in front of Little Ceasars,
A bunch of companies do this shit here. Pizza, cell phones, tax services, bookstores, etc.
I would never do this, but whatever. For these peeps, it's a job. Signs replaced by people is some kind of reverse capitalism at work. Our robot overlords will quickly become displeased.

There are lots of guys in my area who do this.
There is a guy who dresses up for Liberty Mutual and dances around in a Statue of Liberty costume. He will get down hard for like 5 hours. I honestly wonder if he is on something or if he is special needs or something.
I did that sign twirling jog for awhile when I was 16. It sucked.

Theres a guy at the corner by my place at least 4 days a week. I swear he is either on crack, or has some weird kind of savant autism with a specialty in doing sign tricks, or is some kind of alien. or something. There is just no way someone could have as much energy as that guy does 4-5 days a week outdoors in the Houston Texas heat.

I didn't want to get my fan club involved in this but 2 years ago, I used to be a customer at a place called Braganza Pearl Teas. The employees there were prejudice against me because of my appearance. Them and their store owner don't like nerds or people like me or maybe, they just hate me. Either way, they've made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome with the way they stare at me and the way they treat me as opposed to customers who they find worthy enough to shop at their store. It's not enough for them to treat me this way but they even had it to where a few of their employees would befriend me possibly so they can find out stuff about me to use against me. The mall and it's security guards have sided with Eli and his employees, seeing them as the victims. I'm the victim here. I sent Eli an angry e-mail letting him know where he stands and he reported me for cyber-bullying, threatened to report me to his legal department and said he was gonna call security if he ever saw me again. He basically called me a criminal. That's Defamation of Character. He and his employees have told people I want to date his female employees. There's just one problem with that logic. Eli's employees are ugly American girls who I wouldn't date if someone paid me to and I only date Canadian and European girls. So Eli and his employees are also guilty of Slander. And one of his employees, Steve, is a psycho. He looked at me like he was gonna kill me one time, he's been rude to me several times. I'm afraid of him. He's passed by my work at Little Caesar's before. He and Eli are both stalking me because Eli sees me as a threat to his business. I've seen Eli drive slowly past me before and then speed off. Eli even almost hit me with his car once. I have no physical evidence of any of this which it why I haven't gone to the police but I heard he drives a gray Vista Cruiser which is exactly the car that almost hit me. Synthia Hickman, one of the former employees, is one of the biggest examples of what I don't look for in a girl, unattractive and with a huge ego yet for reasons unknown, possibly her massive ego, she feels compelled to tell people I want to date her even though looking at her makes me sick to my stomach. She was one of the people who tried to befriend me by using me which led to the mistake of my friend requesting her on myspace, thinking she was cool at the time and this led to her causing these problems. I've had several more problems where this came from but I'm not gonna get into all of them here but I am now fearful for my life. Amanda Gallegos, another one of the former employees has even resorted to using my fan club in order to get information from me to give to Eli. 2 of her friends were spying on me. I deleted them. Because of this, I've made a super secret 2nd Facebook profile that only my best friends can add where I put most of my personal information on. Do not ask me about it, I will never tell you, sorry guys, but because of the mistakes of a few, everybody has to suffer, that's life sometimes. I've sent a second complaint to the Vancouver Mall letting them know I'm boycotting their mall because they side with Eli and will not help me. Today, as I was walking home, I had to use the bathroom really bad so I took an alternate route which led to me passing through the mall parking lot, the security guards started stalking me, I know Braganza had something to do with this because what other reason was there. I'm tired of being treated like a criminal by Braganza and it's supporters just because I'm a nerd and Eli feels uncomfortable around people like me. This was all started because of Eli's small minded bigotry. I just want to live my life the way I want to and not have to watch my back because of those people. I can't contact Eli directly because he's a prick and if I do, he'll report me to his legal department even though I'm right and he's wrong and my complaints against his store are justified and I have every right to be as mad as I am against his store.
Go to Contact Us, tell them they need to tell Eli that he needs to stay away from me or he'll face a restraining order.

So much of that is WTF material...

I would probably do that, if I could cover up my face and nobody could see who I was.
But only for like, 15$ an hour...

Some of the guys who do the dancing are evaluated by people whose job it is to drive around town and grade the sign twirlers/dancers. I know that some of the guys who put a lot of effort into dancing/twirling make 15$ and hour.
At the place I worked, if the weather was bad we got pain time and half.

Ah found the article. Here is guy that did this shit rain or shine, was offered other jobs because he kicked so much ass but said nah, I like my job and they helped me out by giving me the job, I'll stay here.
I no longer work in that town so I don't know if he is still there or what happened to him.
The guy was a fucking rock star
Quote:
Playing for Pizza Air guitar provides a living for this restaurant employee Mail Tribune October 29, 2007 2:00 AM

CENTRAL POINT — While many people come equipped with an air guitar, whether acoustic or electric, Medford resident Jerry Ross has the privilege of using his invisible-guitar-playing skills to earn a regular paycheck luring passing motorists to buy pizza. His instrument of choice is a giant plastic guitar boasting the phrase "Hot and Ready!" Monday through Friday, cars pass Ross at the corner of Pine Street and Freeman as he strums, advertising Little Caesar's $5 pizza special.
If they stop to ask, those who can't make out the tunes blaring from his boom box find out his plastic guitar plays along with a favorite local country music station.
Some passersby honk and wave. Others flash a peace sign. Kids point and smile.
Occasionally pennies are flicked at his forehead or his equipment is "messed with," he says, but Ross has yet to be discouraged.
One of the few dancing sign wavers to stick to the job at the corner of Freeman and Pine, Ross has been a regular fixture at the corner across from McDonald's for six months.
His predecessor's gave up their air tunes after only a week or two.
"I just love what I do," Ross admitted recently. "It's a lot of fun. I even have kids on the school buses doing the air guitar. Just the other day we had a big busload of kids, I guess they were coming back from a field trip with their teachers, who were going wild playing air guitar along with me." A recovering alcoholic with a learning disability that prevented him from learning to read or write as a child, Ross says he's grateful for his guitar-playing gig.
He says his only hope is to evoke a smile or two from those who pass him by.
A Redding, Calif., native, Ross made his way to the Rogue Valley in recent years doing track maintenance for the Central Oregon Pacific Railroad. After being laid off, he hounded temp agencies for work before finding his way to the pizza place.
An alcoholic from a long line of the same, the 48-year-old had a vocational counselor tag along for his interview to fill out the application. Once hired, Ross said he fine-tuned the pizzeria's marketing ploy to serve his new employer the best he could.
"They showed me what they wanted and I just spiced it up a little," he said with a laugh.
While his 9 to 5 guitar playing gig helps pay the bills, Ross said he values the chance "give back." With no money to pay for alcohol treatment just over a year ago, Ross relied on community-funded programs to kick a habit that cost him two wives and countless opportunities.
"They have a special deal for people who don't have the money for treatment and I know how lucky I was to get some help," Ross said. "I just got through celebrating 13 months of sobriety.
"It's not actually for the money but just to give back to the community and make people smile. That's what I get from this job."
While the guitar gig for Little Caesar's is not the most glamorous available, shift manager Dustin Tiller said Ross has made a name for himself as a pizzeria rock star of sorts.
"We all think he's great. He's by far the best sign dancer we've ever had. We usually get people who work for two weeks at it and just want to quit," Tiller said. "It's great to have someone stick around. We get three or four compliments about him every day."
Thursday afternoon, Central Point mom Hannah Rayleigh's two sons laughed and pointed at Ross from the McDonald's parking lot.
"They wave at him all the time," said Rayleigh. "I think he's hilarious. He sure looks like he's having a good time."
With his alcohol problem under control and a job he enjoys, life is looking up. He proposed marriage last month, and the couple plan to marry soon. He's received a half-dozen job offers but says he'll stay right where he is.
"I know how lucky I was to get this job and I'm not going anywhere," Ross said. "I wouldn't do that to my employer, especially when I'm having so much fun. I think people would missing seeing me do this."
