Making my First Good San Pedro Brew

I can handle a real mind fuck, after having done some drugs such as PCP, acid, Jimsonweed weed, and etc. I have done countless drugs in my life to find out that most of them, really aren't worth it.
Lately I've been searching for something that I still don't know what it is. I feel a little lost, like I'm searching for something inside or trying to learn more about myself. Psychedelics have always appealed to me, and LSD has become rarer and rarer where I live. Interested in trying something natural from mother earth, I decided I'd try to trip on San Pedro and see what I gain.
I have a bunch of Pedro's, some of which are 20ft+ tall and drop arms that have gotten to heavy and root on the ground. I took a couple cuttings off, all I could, which ended up being at least 14 inches long, 2.5 inches wide.
I skinned some, dethroned some, mixed some dried green flesh and water into a big batch of sludge with my blender. With that, I put it in a pot to boil very very lightly. Only a couple lines of bubbles come up. So far it's been about 1.5 hours and I have added water when needed. I added lemon juice too to help with the extraction. Overall, I got a lot of help from the guide here.. http://www.erowid.org/plants/cacti/cacti_preparation5.shtml
Anyways, I'm hoping for this to be done in about 3 1/2 more hours. I will strain the gook into around 10-20 fluid ounces of a concentrate. I have drunken the juice before, and it's too awful to describe but still doable. I'm hoping for a psychedelic experience that may even help me realize some things. I haven't yet tried a good dose of mescaline, so this should do it right?
Any tips? I know there must be a lot more experience people than I am with San Pedro. If this trip doesn't go well, I will try it again next time with the addition of Syrian rue, 8 HBWR seeds, and perhaps more potent cacti such as bridgesii or Peruvian torch. If it does go well, I will still do that with a super large dose for a completely mind fucking experience next time.

Also, how hot does it have to be to start hurting potency? I want to boil it a little bit higher, because right now the steaming is minimal (barely started to bubble)and would go a lot faster at a higher temp

i think a higher temp just loses water faster... you'll want to strain the juice from the pulp and boil once or twice more, at any rate. it's looooowng process.
last time i only boiled my shit once, 3 liters of nasty green snotjuice for nothin.

Last time I boiled around a foot of average sized cacti into 8 fl ounces of the concentrated liquid and nothing happened. I threw out the core though, as well as most of the flesh that wasn't green. Also it was only done for 4 hours, instead of 5-6 this time and I didn't use lemon juice etc and had the stove all the way up to medium my first try.
Maybe these are the weaker San Pedros, not from Peru? If this brew doesn't go well I know it's the cacti and not me right?
