Yeah, I'd definitely cut him loose. He's no "friend" at all.

Is it worth the trouble? Just forget it. If it is a `friend` he will give you the money back. If not screw him. If you want to be evil, give him to smoke a little too much JWH He`ll regret messing with you

Thats why i never lend money. Only brings trouble. and people lose all motivation if they have what they want and it stops working in their advantage.
Need money? Go to a bank, thats where they keep the money.

This is why I don't loan money to friends.
I remember one time this guy owed me and my girlfriend like $100 and clearly did not want to pay it back.
Went to his house, and asked his roommate where he was, was told that he was hiding from us in the alley behind pizza pizza. His roommate was supposed to call him and tell him to come back when we left. Instead we showed up in the alley and were like "hey, where's our money, and WTF are you doing back here anyways?"
The look on his face.

At least you know he is not a real friend. That saves you for a lot of problems later. let him rot, there will be days he really needed friends and then he dont have friends who helps him out. He is alone now,for some money. I bet you''re not the only one where he lent money from.
He sold his freedom for some bucks and will have enemies. Stay far away from that kind of peoples......

Haha,I really should have. I just got off the phone with him. What annoys me is how he doesn't even mention money even though he knows that's why I ring him. I asked him does he have the money.
"Ya,I do ya".
"No bullshit checks now or any of that crap..."
"No"
"So you physically have the cash in your pocket right now..."
"I will do in about an hour".
I feel more teeth are going to be pulled before this is out.

I'm not, though; why you think me suggesting to plant drugs in somebody's house, and then call the cops on them as an act of revenge is indicative of me being a rat enthusiast is beyond me.

This is how It works with my friends, and with those with which it doesn't I cut them off from lending money I can't afford to loose, until they start following this, and this is how it works:
1. When they borrow money, they say when they will pay back. 2. On that day, they either pay back as promised or have a good explanation and a new date when they pay back. 3. They pay back, or got to step 2.
But if he is ready to bullshit you over for few hundred €, then what will happen when he gets a chance to fuck you over for few thousand €?
I was in a situation once when a "friend" borrowed 400€ from me and was bullshitting me for half a year, he was buying shit, such as new computer, going out partying e.t.c., but was telling me he had no money.
We still talk to each other and meet as before, but I told him that he will never be trusted with money or anything important again, and he seems to be ok with it.
That is the point is not he money, but if and for how much your "friend" is ready to fuck you over, and if you can trust that friend if you are in a tough situation.
