anyone have any experience with this?

http://www.amazon.com/Mirro-22-Quart-Polished-Aluminum-Pressure/dp/B000RNH7PQ

seems a cheaper alternative to an aa-921.

I'm sure it would work ok. Same arguments apply as the common Presto vs AA discussion.
That seems a bit expensive though.

Iv got two mirro 22Qt pc's at the moment, one I purchased brand new
and was $130 Canadian. The second one I got off kijiji for $30 with
all the weights, manuals, and trivets. They work great, both are over
a year old and show no signs of any issues.

I purchased it at Canadian Tire, and it came with a 5 year warranty
through them, and 10 year limited warranty from the manufacturer. Not
bad considering I now have two PC's that both under warranty.

Get the AA.

You will get a product that lasts a lifetime and it's made in the US, unlike the Presto and Mirro PC's made in China.

I have an AA and a Presto, and the quality of the AA over the Presto is immediately obvious in all aspects.

I do all my bags in my prestos, and all my lab stuff in my AA.

Found this at goodwill for ~$20ish...

Prob would never find another one in my life for that...
Its nice that it was a sterilizer...
Its old and used, but still holds a great vacuum for >12hrs...
And i run it at 20-22psi with none to little water loss...
Anything super sterile requires my AA... :super:

These are my 2 others...

any PC will work. if you have to $ obviously go for AA, if you dont have the $ buy whatever PC you can get, and it will work. longevity is the difference in price, not its ability to sterilize jars. 15 psi is 15 psi.

i own a mirro 22 qt and its worked fine for over 2 years with no part replacements yet.
