i have this cake, the first flush was awesome yeilded over 30 grams dry but the second is looking not so well, i'll be lucky if it yeilds a quarter. the cake itself looks very dry so i was thinking it would be a good idea to try a dunk tek but i can't find a good one. If anyone can post any recommendations or links to a good dunk tek that would be awesome.
my idea was to just take the cake and throw it in a bucket full of water with something on to to weight it down and leave it for about 24 hours. the only problem is i don't think i cold put my bucket in the fridge so the temp might fuck things up.

also does it mean anything if all the fruits are growing from the side of the cake an almost none from the top, which is covered in spores? none grew from the sides on the first flush only this one.

just dunk and pray. One of the effects of spores, in nature, is that they indicate to the mycelium when to stop producing shrooms (after the first flush)
thats why its best to pick em before the spores drop.
But that doesnt mean you cant get some shrooms out of the cake.
My dunk tek:
Fill a ziplock bag with distilled (bottled) water Put the cake in the bag leave it for 24 hoursish i always tape the tiplock bag to my bedroom wall, or hang it from a hook, so that the cake can sink into the water. (and to prevent spillage)

should i throw the cakes back in my FC upside down so the spores are on the bottom, or would that not make a difference?
