Habitat- Northern california, woodchips
Cap- 5-13cm, orange, wavy convexed, umbonateuplifted and depressed with age.
gills- cream colored to orange, adnate
stem- solid, fibrillose, equal, 3cm-5cm, cream colored, staining orange
Spore- orangey-brown

edit:
sorry some of these are actually quite big, my mistake on the measurements
13cm across cap
3-6cm stem
some stem widths 3cm across
becoming indented in the middle of cap with age through the stem
possible pholiota?

sorry for the mess, the morels had me distracted :P

Yep, lots of Gyms. I would guess perhaps sapineus? I don't know what you plan for them though. As far as I know, the extreme bitter taste is the only thing they have going for them around here.

The last batch that I acquired, however from a differant patch, definately had a nice mild experience too them; unless placebo got the best of me Some of them dried a nice bluish green tint
But I would like to give them some more testing before I rule them out, I'll let you know.

Please do! Can't hurt any, and you definatly have enough there to rule out placebo.

If you're seeing green spots you could have some Pholiota in there too

Well not in this batch
It was the last patch that I collected in a dense pine stack/alder wood chips.
I quick dried a few from that patch in my toaster oven and a couple had some noticeable blue staining was darker blue, slightly green tinted according to my color double checker, since I do have a minor case of the partial colorblindness. Shes pretty credible and I noticed it myself: not as credible; however it was pretty prominent
I ate what id equal to about 5grams, had some pretty nice and interesting feelings arise. About 1 hour in I noticed it tapered off and then I proceeded to settle into a glorious ~15mg 4-aco-dmt experience: quite the pleasant evening.
These do have a less bitter taste, the last batch left my mouth numb for 20mins at least.
Life's a mystery and if all else fails...

I was pretty irresponsible and unorganized with the collection and identification of these.
Especially considering the tatteredness and color similarity/possible habitat neighbors: the deadlies.
I'm taking the when in doubt throw them out option.
I wanna live to eat these morels!

Wise decision, you should try to get some pictures of your future finds in their natural habitats

Indeed, it was a private community and I was rushing, not smart.
Then I just laid them all out without making certainty of what each mushroom were; I'm going for 100% or nothing in the future. Lesson learned and I'm glad it wasn't the hard way.
Now I get to live to do it the right way next time

No, some of the smaller ones. But I just went ahead and tossed them all.
I've got more desired trip mushies
