I say no, the uncolonized material will contaminate easily. What are you doing for ventillation? What temperature is the environment?

theres no ventilation really. it's in a myco bag from sporeworks.com its sitting next to a radiator and i dont know what the temp is but i know its a little warmer there than the rest of the room, and the rest of the room isn't too warm. id say around 85 degrees or so where the bag is.

Do those mycobags have little filters on them or are they totally sealed? If they're totally sealed you might want to poke some holes along the top (ala lazy mofo tek.) Its also possible that the bag got very hot next to the radiator one day and the mycelium died. Can I assume you knead the bags and mix the stuff around?

what are you using for substrate?

no chance the bag got too hot...the family is very tight with the heat. yes the bags do have the filter. forgot about that. and no , there was no kneading of the bags..i dont think he was aware that you should have.

I believe thats one of the main reasons to use bags, but having never used them myself I wouldn't know.

well he mushed the bag up and actually reinjected some spores in there and checked today and the bag has more water droplets that it did before but the mycellium has spread and the whole thing is now a mild shade of white..few more days to go i'd think.
