ID request: Trametes versicolor?

I see what I think are turkey tails all over the place here in the PNW, but I'm never 100% sure if they are actually Trametes versicolor or just a lookalike. Are these Trametes versicolor? All these were found today in the Cascade foothills. The first four photos are of one cluster and the next two are a different cluster.
I picked a bunch from both cluster. I intend to dry them out and maybe try them in a tea, if the ID is confirmed.

So I guess my real question also is, are there any dangerous lookalikes of Trametes versicolor?

I have picked turkey tails in the past but seen no reason for it, They are way to hard to chewy or eat. Is there a way to cook them to make them more eatable? Good find by the way. I guess I could dry them and make jewelry out of them .

if you find them fresh you can chew on them. i do this all the time when im out and about. i think they taste great and you can chew on em for a while. mainly what i do though is let them seep in boiling water for 10 or 15 minutes. and drink the tea. i dont add sugar or anything it tastes great. and its great for you.

Here are the ones I collected after having sat out for a while. I see two distinct color groups in this collection: some are mostly rich reddish brown hues, and others are paler and sort of sandy-colored.

and freespeach, ya got a mix batch there, or at least it appears to me as such, no worries none are toxic, but drinking dirt flavored tea with no medicinal value is fun if your 5 or just like dirt, i onece made a wild mushroom stew with a rich forest soil, mushrooms and leaks, it was good, but next time i need to strain the sand out some how, crunchy dirt soup isnt as good as smooth dirt soup, recommended served with raw trout or a fire roasted pheasant or grouse, the bird is best cooked only gutted and not plucked, burn the feathers off then step on the head pull the feet and it the skin will pull right off, leaving a wonderfully cooked bird, if your daring, shove a leak or shroom up inside it before cooking.

If you think it's a mixed batch because of the distinction between the colors, I disagree. I believe they're all turkey tails, but I'm certainly no expert. In fact, I'm barely a novice If you look back at the OP, in the third and fourth photos you can see a couple of the lighter-colored mushrooms growing right in the middle of the darker ones. Then also look on the other side of that piece of wood in the same photos - you can see that all of the mushrooms are lighter colored on the right/lower side.
