You would just have to remove a colonized substrate from the tray it was made of and put it on top. You'd need a martha so there's enough humidity so it doesn't dry out and it's consistent since it's not really cased. Good find though I'd like to see that once it's fully grown.

Yeah. I've fruited blocks like that in an SGFC though. Worked out well, but humidity must be monitored.

You can flip a bulk block out onto the tub lid like flipping a cake out of a pan.
Then fruit it. I'll slap a shotgun-drilled dubtub lid over it usually.

Looks like it adds more area for pins. In a normal tub you just have the top. By doing this it looks as if you add 4 more sides for the substrate to pin on.
