So a selective extraction was done on 300 Hawaiian Baby Woodrose seeds. The seeds came from a trade. They were collected from some hill in Hawaii, and are
When extracting, they were kept in darkness, and three pulls were preformed with Naptha (~850mL total). This was totally evaporated, then the alkaloids were extracted with ethanol (everclear).
The tincture, or 'LSA cocktail' is suspended in an excess of ethanol to prevent oxidation (probably not necessary), this is kept in a big mason jar protected from light.
I love LSA's, but i'm still trying to perfect the best way to dose.
I've tripped off of this tincture about 5 or 6 times now, three of those times with a friend as well.
The first time was great and fun, but there was definitely some nausea still present, and my friend even threw up a bunch. The LSA didn't jive with him, and he says he doesn't want to try it again, and will stick to LSD/mushrooms. When I was tripping with him, I felt the nausea, too, but it wasn't too bad.
I'm studying O Chem, and have read a lot about LSA and especially LSD. I understand the concepts behind LSA -> LSH, but am skeptical that peppermint is seriously a good source for acetaldehyde.
Anyway, I tried to semi-synthesize LSH for the first time, and while I think I failed at that, some good did come out of this.
My theory has been that because the one-shot's worth of everclear we had to drink per dose (usually mixed with orange juice), that might be a big reason for nausea.
To test this, I was thinking about taking a dose, and evaporating the ethanol under a fan in the dark, but I don't have the supplies to do that now.
So the idea was to make an LSA/LSH pepermint/spearmint tea.
Fresh peppermint was used, as well as some strong, good-quality dried spearmint, not knowing which would have more acetaldehyde.
I made the peppermint+spearmint tea using heated distilled water, waited for the water to cool a bit, and added a dose of the LSA cocktail. However, the water was still pretty hot, and I feel like that heat could have been counter-productive to making LSH. (heat degrades LSA, but at what temperature would be best?)
The tea mix was hot enough to be steamy, and was left out for a bit in hopes that the shot of everclear would evaporate as well, and leave the LSA's in the tea.
The cup of tea was consumed, and effects were felt before the cup was halfway done. The tea was delicious (best tasting way to dose), and because there was little to no alcohol, I didn't start out the trip with an upset stomach, unlike before.
This was the first time that I could honestly say there was no nausea noticed. It wasn't the strongest trip, but it was nice.
any input as to a better way to make the tea maybe, or any other better ways of ingestion?
questions? comments?

First off, thanks for sharing.
I think the conversion was at least partially succesfull. You didn't have any nausea and the trip came on fast. That sounds like LSH rather than the sedating LSA to me.
I hear Cinnamon essential oil combines well with LSA to form something more like LSD, and that the boiling point of Cinnemaldehyde is much higher than that of acetaldehyde and so this may have a greater success ratio.
If you want to stick with acetaldehyde; I hear sherry or dark rum is more successfull than Peppermint in conversion.
If you are going to use peppermint, try an overnight cold-soak in the fridge protected from light. Good call on fresh peppermint, as the acetaldehyde is easily evaporated from it's tea-leaf form.
Thanks again; Blessings.
