Why don't you adopt / take care of one of the many kids without parents? Seems better than making more

I like how you apply the word 'yield' to human production Shall we talk about operations management for making babiez?

We should also consider risk management. Since OP is going for quantity we need to quantify the implied risks of bare-backing.

Thinking of it, there's definitely something in there, I mean applying management principles to human production. And there's certainly room for improvement. The human genitals are a bad example of poka-yoke design; it'd be better if the male penis would be about three times as wide and square, and the vagina would be square as well. This would prevent 'waste' from occurring in the process in the form of anal or oral sex, consistent with lean manufacturing principles. To further optimize shit we should indeed enumerate and manage risks of the process, and we should make an attempt at defining the desired quality of the end product so that we can implement a six sigma approach.

Yes. But too many kids have terrible lives because they have no parents, or their parents are ass holes. The pain these kids have to endure growing up is horrible. It seems quite selfish to bring about more kids into the world, when there are thousands out there waiting for loving parents, especially when the reason is just to have kids to carry on your DNA.

Of course it is, but so is everything else. Next thing you might say could be that, since there are so many women that are/were abused in their relationships, a man should find one of those and marry them, because they're terribly unhappy so why pick a woman that he truly wants to be with, but who doesn't have any emotionally trauma hence she can be just fine on her own. Then, regarding adoption, personally I want a healthy and happy kid, and as you probably might know, the intrauterine life is really important to the fetal development, and I would never really know what the mother did during pregnancy. Did she abuse drugs, did she drink, did she smoke, was she subjected to a great deal of emotional stress, did she eat healthy, etc. I'm also considering the first months/ year(s) after birth, where the infant would probably be in not such a great environment, and again, this could further add to the level of health or lack of health. Luckily, people are still free to have their own kids even if there are other kids that could be adopted, and I hope things will stay this way, since I see some folks being really freaked about "overpopulation" and thinking they are smart enough to take decisions for the others.

How on earth did you get that? That is kind of a big leap considering the two are not related at all... Its kind of like how people say "If you allow gay marriage the next thing will be people marrying animals and items".

You have a point, no one is saying people should not have their own kid(s). But making babies just for the sake of making babies is pretty fucked up.

Considering are planet is experiencing the effects of human over-population , I would say its fucked up.
You can't deny that one. We are pushing our animal brethren out of their natural habitats as we try to take over more land for our children. Its simply not necessary anymore but people are too selfish to make small personal sacrifices to better the whole of a planet.
Don't even bother responding MushroomTrip. I know you generally bring up good points on the Shroomery but you're grasping at straws with your perspective of the argument.
