cooling jars

I'm using the PF Tech and I have just done steaming the jars. I have aluminum foil, and masking tape on top of the lids. They've been sitting for 30 minutes now and are still hot. I'm aware I should let them cool for 6-8 hours. What do you suggest I do if I want to use the pot again?

Wait patiently with the lid on the pot and the jars inside.

Buy another pot or wait a few more hours.

I remove mine from the pot right after they are done sterilizing. I plop them back into the cardboard containers but leave the tape/foil on until they are cool enough to inoculate.
I haven't had a problem this far but as they always say, it won't hurt you to be patient.

I have played games with hot PCs, jars when I am trying to do multiple rye grain runs; I just wait for the PC to get back to 0 psi, then another half hour.
I will say this. It is really not worth it to open the lid of the pot, risking injury. Just wait another few hours. Those jars are super fucking hot.

You can take them out when they're done being sterilized.
I lay the lids loosely on the jars as I steam them, then
take out the jars when they're done and quickly screw on the lids and apply micro pore tape.
Then I'll usually put them back into their packaging and
on a shelf to cool. Then, you can prepare more jars with
the pot.

Cool them over night and inject them tomorrow. Best case scenario you can inject them in 6-12 hrs. 24 hrs will insure those jars are at room temp.

If there's foil on the jars, the bad spores will land on that...be careful not to stir the air, remove the jars and allow to cool...no biggie...the foil catches things that fall on them, verm layer catches everything else...of jars are mighty, if you're ultra cautious, leave them.
