condensation or water droplets are normal...during colonization and fruiting!

My best advise for newbi's making mono-tubs... Once you finish mixing your grains with the sub...put the whole tube in a black plastic trash bag (cut a few holes in the bag) and forget about the tub for the next two weeks. Seriously!
Every little thing will worry the shit out of you...Also yes condensation is totally normal. Temps change hourly and you're tub will reflect that. Sometimes there will be water and other times there won't be.

condensation only means there's a temperature difference in and outside the tub. It does not indicate humidity.

No problem. Just keep it closed. If you can, put some cling wrap around the edges of the monotub's lid so moisture wont be lost and to keep it from getting to much fresh air exchange.

the monotub bag colonization thread
the darkness, closed, lacking FAE colonization tactic is, I think, becoming old/bad info. Or if not detrimental, then serving no good purpose. I'm still running tests to find out which way I like it, and there are, of course, those who agree and those who disagree with it, but I just wanted to throw it out there for anyone caught unawares.

It's always worked wonders for me. I use different environments for different stages of growth. Also I said to cut a few holes in the bag. Thus giving it some FAE (but not a lot). I would never put a tub in a bag without holes. You'll just have stagnant air in the bag and in the tub.
Also I don't see the relevance to your posted thread link. There's no control or comparison tubs to look at. Its more opinionated based off your success not using a bag. By that logic I can say using a bag is always best because it's always worked for me...Kind of flawed don't you think?
During colonization, I don't use fans, I don't use lights, but I do use a torn up garbage bag.
Two weeks later, I remove the bag and place the tub in fruiting conditions. I'll typically have some fruits for harvest two weeks into fruiting and the remainder gets picked in week 3 or so of fruiting.
I colonize for 2 weeks just to make sure the sub is fully colonized. 2 weeks has always been the magic number for me. This obviously depends on the genetics I use.

Yea i know that thread, it was a good discussion. Tried it and it pinned prematurely with me. Did not put cling wrap on the lid i must add, but did pack the polyfill quite tight. I just bag it for 10-14 days depending on the temperatures. Then take it out and proceed from there.

Exactly, any time I've not used a bag I get inconsistent fruiting times. Some fruit way earlier then others. It becomes a pain in the ass harvesting 1 tub for 4 weeks. At least with the bag, I know they'll all fruit roughly with in the same week or two.
