Fruit bodies + enviro factors
    #1418250 - 03/30/03 02:10 PM (15 years, 2 months ago)

Im interested to know how CO2 levels etc affect the fruit bodies? Is there a thread or something that has info about this. I thought I remembered reading some where that higher CO2 levels caused taller, thinner fruit bodies. Or something about humidity and fat stems ?? I cant seem to find it again.

I dont know exactly how the CO2 effects the mushroom, as I dont know how co2 effects the human body.

But, I do have some common sense.

dmc's common sense:

Its not that the CO2 hurts the mushroom body, but more so in the fact that it takes up valuable space that needs to be occupied by oxygen. OH BEAUTIFUL OXYGEN. *squints*.........*stares at the ground some*......., so sir, like if you were in a dark air tight container with no flow of gas, how would the co2 levels effect you?

prolly sufficate.....*shrugs*

(if anyone has a more scientific answer, i would also be interested in reading it)

p.s.

plants grow tall and skinny when not supplied with enough nutrients, gas and light.
