Both species found in Equestrian center (horse stables)property- a stream with thinning oak forests and some sawdust trails. Orange County, CA.
-------------- SPECIES "B"
Habitat: Found in a river bed in medium length wild grass. Size: Cap = 1 1/2 inches diameter, mushrooms are between 2 and 4 inches tall. Cap: Yellow ochre to creamy tan/beige, convex, cap has inward-curling lip. Gills: Attached, white-grey to creamy color. COVERED IN A WHITE SKIN THAT PEELS AWAY TO REVEAL THE GILLS. Stalk: Slightly twisting, white cream, thick + sturdy. Not woody. Annulus: None Odor: Portobello-earthy, smell mixed with a mild spiciness according to one friend, mildly eggy according to another. Smell mildly spicy to me. Hypholoma fasciculare? Spore Print: yellow-brown with slight purple/grey tint. Bruising: None to very mild. Look at the closeup of the stalk.

------------------------------------------- SPECIES "C"
Habitat: Found on a large mound of woodchips. VERY gregarious; grew in tight clusters. Appeared to be in an early stage of decomposition. Lots of deer shit everywhere. Ants all over them.
Size: 2-4 inches tall, cap diameter = 1-3 inches. Caps: Prominent waves, some have hat (umbo) in center. Carmel-brown color with burnt red/umber. Could be old or dying. Gills: Medium-spaced, whitish creamy grey, adnate to adnexed. Stalk: spongy/hearty, feels a bit like felt. Lighter and darker shades of the stalk color alternate up and down. Younger ones have whiter color toward top of stalk. Color is cream to rust brown with perhaps some debatable purple? Annulus: NONE Bruising: Some extremely mild purple bruising on some, but very debatable. Please see photos. My partner and I cannot decide. Odor: Moderate earthy, floury or yeasty. Spore Print: Barely visiible, same color as gills.
Galerina? Cyanescens (doubt it, they dont grow in so cal)? I can't figure out out. My guide is also drawing a blank.

thanks everybody.

The first I think would be something along the lines of Stropharia ambigua and the second is too far gone for me to tell. There is nothing active that you have found.

You presume correctly. Also, bruising is often very brilliant except in species containing minimal amounts, such as Pan subbs.
Considering you're in CA, (though I don't know the West Coast that well) wood dwelling species such as Cyans.

You can see some bruising here.
