Drying Mushrooms & Botulism?

I was just wondering about this since i read something about it in a thread about drying mushrooms. Can mushrooms get contaminated with "botulism" if they aren't dried properly? For example i fan dried my cyans this past season we just had and i just put them in bags and jarred and put in the freezer for a long time,..maybe a few months.
But i never dessicanted them (1st time drying) and i just put them in bags in a jar in a freezer right after the fanning stage. And just recently i grew my first cubensis and i went and bought some damp rid desiccant this time for drying. And i noticed that just the fan alone never took all the moisture out of the shrooms and that a desiccant was needed in the last stage of drying.
So basically i checked on my cyans which were already stored/freezing for awhile and it turns out that they still had some moisture in them compared to cracker dry dessicanted cubensis So i threw the cyans in the desiccant chamber also but after a long time of already being in baggies in airtight jars in the freezer.
The desiccant made them cracker snap dry instead of bendy like how they were,..and im worried that "botulism" may have developed in the cyans. I can post some pics of the cyans if needed. Some people have been eating them just recently and i dont want them to get wierd symptoms of some shit.
Is botulism visible? If my cyans are ruined from drying improperly and storing while still wet for a few months im floating in the

Well not just botulism but any type of bacteria or mold im worried about really. I bagged em up and put the bags in airtight mason jars and put the jars in the freezer for a few months. It was my first time drying and i never bought any desiccant and just fan dried em until they were that "mostly dry" consistency.
They were at the stage of 'the fan isnt gonna dry anymore' and desiccant was needed. And i just figured screw it they're dry.... but a recent dessicanting on them showed a big difference from how they were, compared to cracker dry.
So im worried they might have some type of bacteria or mold in them.
