my pet frozen donkey is a consumer of both mj and pcubs he would like to get a larger cooler looking food/postal scale thats is accurate but fears it may look like he is dealing which he is not (he does work out often and is consious about his food intake but not enough to *need* a large glass top scale)... so he figures a smaller scale such as this one would better suit his personal use for dosing and whatnot http://www.americanweigh.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=A&Product_Code=MXSC&Category_Code=myweigh its said to be the best scale in that size/price range... but he is broke at the momment and he isnt working...his last chunk of spendable dough was seperated for his myco-expirience... but it seems he fell short a few bucks and cant spring for a nice digital scale like above...
he was wondering if these cheap-o-mechanical-handhelds were any good.... http://www.americanweigh.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=A&Product_Code=HANDSC&Category_Code=MS
http://www.americanweigh.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=A&Product_Code=PENSC&Category_Code=MS
this is the one i think is the best for him... but im no expert... http://www.americanweigh.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=A&Product_Code=ACCUGEM&Category_Code=MS

This one seems to be a better version of the last one that you mention. My friend has it and he really likes it except for the fact that the bowl part is pretty small. It is quite accurate, portable and easy to use.
That first one you mention looks interesting, do you have any links to the reviews, etc, that you read about it?

sporedog: thanks
psyphon: for 30 bucks for a plastic mechanical scale i preffer to spend the extra 25bux for the original MyWeigh digital scale that can handle up to 200g and is accurate up to .05 or whatever just my oppinion ill see what my donkey decides....
and no sorry i dont have any other info except they are very accurate just small and i would only use em for dosing... i found americanweigh.com through froogle (google price comparison engine.) and they seem to be the shiznit online for scales...
i dont think buying scales from spore/seed dealers is a good thing... dunno why
well thanks me and the donkey appreciate the help!

I am sure this may be a matter of brands differing, but the zen 7 beam scale that I've seen, which looks like the acugem one you are thinking of getting for your pet donkey, is a piece of shit. The little 3 buck hand scales that I've seen though, do seem to do a reasonable job for a rough estimate.
Just thought I'd mention it.
Good luck with whatever you get though

I like the ones at www.pawn-shopper.net I've had two from there, just got the Mx200 last week. I had the PalmScale before that but it got stolen. Very nice pieces. Find them on eBay and you can likely get it for even cheaper.
