Hi Noob here, found some possibles on a hunt today and was hoping for confirmation id. Blue bruising very visible. Flicked em and snipped them before taking so I can go back if these are ok. There were heaps and I was surprised to find so many inner N suburbs.

Hey guys, I'm fairly new here. This is my first season hunting and I've already had two fairly successful hunts (I think I picked a good time to start ), the second of which ended with my BEST FREAKING TRIP EVER. Anyway, went out today to look for new spots. Took some pictures:

Thanks Lord Mayonnaise, appreciate the prompt reply. Have been researching for about six weeks and a few long drives out of melbourne brought in zero finds. Can't believe these guys are practically in our backyards, you gotta love Melbourne!!!. Thanks to you and all those who have posted informative and knowledgeable info on these shrooms. Happy hunting to you all

wanted to go on a hunt today but none of my friends could be fucked (big weekend after pharmacy - to anyone else who went, how was your night? wragg & logg: one + anth (hellraiser) killed it. seeing my dad's gf there was bad though lulz) so hopefully next weekend looking at these pictures makes me hungry.
Yeh exactly the same. couldnt be bothered going to the patch this weekend after pharmacy. Thinking a quick night hunt might be in order. pharmacy was a real blast from the past for me was an awesome night. I decided not to take shrooms as I had plenty of other goodies for the night.

I get packs of large vegetarian capsules from a health-food shop which fit around 5 average-sized, ground shrooms each. Use a coffee grinder to powder the dried shrooms, pack it into the cap using a chop-stick or similar and store in the freezer. Potency varies shroom to shroom so I tend to mix the powder all together before packing to get a more consistent result. I'd also keep each batch of caps separated as they will vary slightly and it's easier to monitor that way.
The only difference I've noticed with caps is the time they take to take effect. Shortest time was 12minutes with 4 caps (equiv approx 20 shrooms) and longest was THREE HOURS with 3 caps (equiv approx 15 shrooms.) Now I make sure I've eaten not long before taking them and eat something else with them as well. The trick is to get the stomach acids working, otherwise it takes too long for the shells to dissolve.
I'm no expert but I've never noticed much difference in potency between raw, dried and caps. Although nausea is reduced with each consecutively. I can't imagine grinding would reduce potency more than straining them for tea or smoking them would at any rate!!!

Smoking them? AAHhahah! Pretty sure that doesn't work... & even if it did, smoking fungus doesn't sound right.

I know right? Some people are stupid. Fungus is for eating, clearly, why else would it taste so good? .

I would always be open to help you get maximum value from a patch, it hurts me knowing they are not going to enjoy being eaten by me. I have not really had much luck, only finding very small patches, or arriving to late
Sorry Johnny 2 posts, that's "too late" spelled with two "o"s.
Keep hunting!!
Well, I'll give you a clue... There's a field of grass, and a river, and as the water from the field flows into the river, it crosses over a faux Australian bush section. Lots of bushes, lots of button grass, lots of shade from the afternoon sun. It seems that every year, the wood chips would get washed away if it werent for the slope flattening out before the river. This flat section catches all the wood chips, and keeps them damp..
Dont worry.. I found some patches are getting real brazen with the cooler weather. There were plenty today along my bikepath,.. just jumping out at people as they passed by... I left them for you.. <3

That my friend is a post!
I bought the book by Paul Stamets - Psilocybin Mushrooms of the World Read it, picked a bunch of mushrooms, learned to spore print them. Then this website started to make more sense..

Go hunting with someone who knows what they're looking for. Trip with someone who knows what they're doing. Also make sure you don't take too much the first time! Sure, if you flip out and go off mushies forever that leaves more for me...but seriously, be smart. =)

With that aside, that's a rad find Neutro, without a doubt, one of the biggest patches i've seen!
My last couple of finds have been growing in enormous clusters as well... there seems to be a lot of that happening this year. I suppose only because it's been posted here that it's become apparant. But, still, it's interesting to see how one patch varies from another.
Cool finds.
I know the board rules, I know you cant share stuff like that, if I was serious it would have been a PM. I just wanna find my own mega patch

Don't use scissors. If you've got fingernails use them instead by pinching at the base of the stem; quicker, just as effective, and more discrete IMO. I got busted by security guards a few years ago because I was using scissors. They had been watching me on a security camera so they said and got worried because they saw me "doing something" with the scissors. Luckily I was able to talk my way out of it and they never brought up the topic of mushrooms, so they either had no clue or they had a clue and just wanted to give me a scare. Needless to say I never used scissors again.

Yeah you got some good points there... its probably not as urban as your experience with 'security cameras' but there will most likely be a gardiner or two walking around let alone someone of the public, so better off not risking it

Holy crap there are a lot of varieties of subs around the south-eastern area. I visited a friend a few nights ago to check out his recent finds, some of the oddest looking subs I've seen, they were so chunky yet small:
This was one that had opened up properly, there were so many blemishes and blue spots all over it

Anyway needless to say I had the most intense trip I have EVER had by eating only 10 of them. I've eaten up to 30 or more mushrooms in one sitting that have come from around my region in the past, and the trip has never been anything like this. I went somewhere else. I existed as something else, I totally forgot who my friend was and thought he was myself, that I was dying and he was my conscious voice that answered back to me. I saw many things that had happened in the past which lead to where I was at the present moment. I was running into walls and at times I felt like I was tumbling through space, spinning around, when I was standing upright. Then a while later I almost instantly came out of the trip. I'll be trying to get a spore print of these as soon as possible most definitely.

Yeah that's exactly what I do, I just say I'm doing photography. Most of the time it influences me to take photos of everything anyway which only develops my skills
