Grinding exposes them to more air though right?

Quick question for all those experienced sub hunters;

Do the tall Subs found under pine plantations usually grow alone or was this just luck?

Edit-:

Perfect fresh specimens!

It's not uncommon to find ones growing alone.

Just went for a ripsick in my street which is has woodchips on either side some of those green leafy grass type things and ecalupt tree every 5 or so meters, i then kicked a mushroom in bordness which led me to actually look harder at the patch and sore some new smaller ones popping through. it had a thick white stem but a brown cap not caramel which has me a bit worried but will post some pics soon!

so yeah with the capules i grind them up in a small coffee grinder then pack them tight into the capules with the blunt end of a pencil (fits nicely into a 00 size gelatin cap)

i only eat 1 when i do them and that does me just fine i think theyre pretty strong

and as potency goes i pick them and dry them within 2 days then grind them and put them in the capsules then into the freezer in an airtight container and they last veryyy long

Went out to my usual patch today and it seems this past week's weather was a blessing!  Found heaps waterlogged.  Left some of the more worse-looking specimens behind to help nourish the patch.  Then after picking what I wanted, went for a bit of a wander and found a new patch under a tree! There were so many yummy ones for the picking! Again, left the older ones behind to nourish the patch!

Mmmm juicy sub season. I can't believe how prolific they are at the moment. And it's only early days!

Some from my new patch that has already served up a little under a kilo of freshies this season... I left a lot of older waterlogged (and massive!) ones behind.

Their habitat

Some very close and unwanted neighbours

Some bush subs

And the final haul

Loving it!

Another day, another two new patches. It's getting to easy this year.

And this third patch aswell, but I left this one as it was mainly pins.

And Does anyone know what sort of mushroom this is? It is growing in my backyard and just curious as to what it is.

The local chinese herbalist told us that a strong tea of liquorice root stops a mushroom trip in it's tracks... and also acts as a general antidote to toxic mushrooms.. not sure how true that is..
