Hey guys, I was wondering what you all made of these guys, and whether you've seen them about:

As a noob collector, my thoughts would be bruises blue; is sub. However the guy that posted this pics in an ID thread a while back found they were giving redish spore prints. I have a bunch with lighter gills like this (with blue bruising), but none of them have been able to print.
More pics (from user chooken)

I remember Lord Mayo posting some 'albino' subs he found a while back, could this be something similar? I have a few like this sitting on top of my bookshelf, considering tossing them if I can't be sure...
Thoughts?

You would really need to post your pics if you have what appear to be blue bruising subs with light gills that don't print they are most likely sterile (Unable to drop spores)
The ones that Chooken found are something else altogether.

Crappy pics and lighting, and also very dry now.

Definite blue bruising.

that is crazy! nice finds!
They are probably albino subs, due to bruising and hollow stem etc.. But to be sure, make an id request , like allways

I am really not sure what you are on about with "hollow stem" there is no stem Actually it kind of looks like somebody attacked them with a hole punch.

Definite blue bruising.
They look like sterile Psilocybe subaeruginosa to me. Probably wait for Mayo or somebody else who has seen more of them to confirm though.

Yeah the first ones are some that Chooken found which aren't actually Psilocybes the thread is here: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/14474871.
The second lot are Air Cleaners finds and look like sterile subs to me.

Hello, I have identified 'wavy tops', 'subs' and gallerina in a small patch. I have some questions...
1. The wavy tops seemed to come up first. Now it appears that the subs have taken over. Is this common that some present earlier than others (n.b: in the exact same spot)?
2. The 'wavy tops' seemed to have better visuals than the 'subs' when taken. However the 'subs' seemed to have a more intense emotional effect (if that's the right term). Is this just me or do the two types have notable differences as far as the effects?
3. From reading past posts (excellent site guys) and published info, it seems that the 'subs' are stronger than 'wavy tops'. The recommended dosage always seems to be much less in the case of 'subs'. Is this correct?
4, Some of the gallerina's are very similar in appearance to the 'subs'. Is it true that gallerina's never bruise blue?
Thank you and good hunting / tripping.

Following on from this, looks live scored myself some very active mycelium! Pins popping up everywhere, and the existing mature ones are looking pretty healthy too. Sweeeeeeeeeeeet!

wtf is a wavy top? ...i'm assuming its a sub
Which means these questions make absolutely no sense:

Pickery said: Hello all,
Apologies if this is a bit OT but I have a question. Does anyone else here often get approached when hunting? And I don't mean by curious friendly locals. I mean the unfavourable bogan types. On two occasions I've been approached by this strange species. On the first occasion it was subtly suggested to me that I was picking in "their" territory (this particular park gets raped by dozens of people a week) and that I should find an alternative patch.
The second occasion (today) my haul was snatched clean out of my hands by some drop kick derro who then proceeded to run away accompanied by his other dick weed accomplices. Me and my friend who was with me at the time reluctantly let them get away with it. Said bogan kids were clearly amateurs trying to get lucky in the fading light of the day. Fed up with not finding anything they decided to confront us as we were leaving the park. I made the big mistake of not concealing the paper bag properly which probably tempted them more.
Its so unfortunate to see these kinds of douchebags ruining something that is meant to be about sharing and enjoying what nature offers. They couldn't care about anything more than their cheap high.
Has anyone else had to deal with similar scenarios? What might be the best way to deal with these fuckwits? Concealing my bag properly would be a good start I suppose.
Try mixing a few galerinas in with the haul next time
(obviously I'm joking)

To my understanding, 'wavy tops' are Psilocybe cyanescans.
Cheers

No. I don't believe so. Thats why this is confusing. I think he just found a wavy sub.
Anyway...

It's just you. You're tripping.

Yes it is true. They do not bruise like a psilocybe.
